Chapter 3

Steve POV : Last night was a rollercoaster. It was amazing but Shanon seemed very hurt, I'm not going to give up finding out what happened and how I can help her get through it. Ever since that day we've gotten closer every class and afternoon spent together. It's been now a month since we first met and now I get to see her again. I woke up before my alarm which never happened. I got in my favorite outfit and got driven to school by Clint because Bucky was busy with whatever. I got to school early and headed to Physics. I heard Shannon trying to yell but Mr. Foster covered her mouth and was whispering something. I was too frustrated to just listen so I walked into the room like I never noticed. "Good morning Mr. Foster, can I talk to you Ms. Carter" I said trying to get her alone. We went into the janitors where we usually meet to talk. "You know you should really report him, I don't know what he's doing to keep you silent but you should start talking to people like your parents ... and me.." "I-i know and I will it's just that he" I cut her off. "It doesn't matter you're hurting and that's the last thing you deserve," I said in a stern voice. "You're my best friend we can't keep secrets from each other. We both have to be more honest with each other okay". She nodded as we headed back to class. Throughout class, Mr. Foster wasn't as strict on Ms. Carter and she took most of the time helping me with my dumbass brain. Well, not really helping since we'd just talk about everything. The bell rang in the middle of a conversation between me and Shan. "Aw bummer better get to class". "But I could be late" I wink at her. She just pushes my head and walks me to class. On the way there we hear cheering as we get closer to the noise. When we turned the corner we saw two people fighting I don't know one of them but the other was ... of course ... Bucky. This was his third fight this year. I go to split them up before Bucky would hurt him. "Hey hey guys chill out. Bucky come on what did he even do to you" I asked as he still tried to hit the poor guy. "You don't understand Rodgers" he yells as he storms off. Clint came over "O-oh hey you too" he says to us with a smirk. "What happened to him". "I don't know but I'm worried something happened to Buck". "Maybe you should go talk to him" Shan said as she headed back to her room. "Y-yeah bye". Clint and I walk to PhysEd. He was acting super confused and weird, while staring at me I started getting annoyed. "What, what is it". "Nothin ... nothin ... just .. nevermind we're going to be late".

After school

I go to Shans room to walk her home like always, but she wasn't there. I see she texted me. "Huh when did that happen". I look to see what it was about.  
*Hey I'm sorry I had to leave early today, I won't be available. Luv ya* W-wait what ... luv ya. Wait she ... loves me or .. wait no .. maybe. By the time I noticed I was talking it was too late Clint heard everything. "Haha what was that about. Do you lOoOoOoVe someone". "WHAT NO ... I was just thinking". "Ooooo about what" Clint kept bothering me. "Stevie and Shan sitting in a tre..." "I don't like her in that way, I like her but with no lovey dovey stuff. Okay". "Sure sure" he said as he turned the corner. As I left school I got a message from Clint, I didn't even want to look at it. 'Shannon Rodgers ... or Steven Carter, Oooo I like that one'. Haha that guy makes anyone smile, even with these topics. I got home and finally get the chance to lay down. I decided to play cod a little bit with my friends and probably go to bed early because I get my license tomorrow.

It's the Morning

"YES finally I get to get my diverse license this morning .. oh shoot I better tell Shan". I texted her and went to the driving school. I signed up and waited to be called. Shan didn't respond nor read my text, she's probably busy. It took very long, around 3 hours just to wait. But I drove smoothly and .. Passed YES! As I drove to school I stopped by to pick up some coffee for Clint Bucky and Shan. But once I made it to the school I couldn't find her. Everyone said she wasn't here. Must've taken the day off .. I didn't have a good feeling but she might've been really busy that might be why she hasn't responded. Bucky and Clint were siked for the coffee tho, they're total coffee addicts. As the day flew by I still couldn't focus. I knew something was wrong I had a gut feeling and it wasn't good. It's been around a week and I haven't seen Shan. Her parents filed a police report and now everyone is trying to find her. I haven't slept a wink ever since then. I was worried sick, I was skipping school and sports just to look around town and maybe the city this weekend. It felt like everything has fallen apart. Shan has disappeared like my brother, our government is rising in power, Russia has declared war on us along with China and Korea. We're basically doomed ... well I mean it's not like aliens or some planet destroyer is coming to destroy the universe...

I promise I'll work on making the chapters longer unless you like shorter chapters , lmk
