Bakugou Katsuki died from a lung disease and the reason he stopped taking medications was because he had been on meds for his whole life and he knew he'd never get better.
In the beginning of the story, Midoriya was running from bullies. They were bullying him because they wanted to see the cocky Izuku be brought down.
What happened after Izuku's death was tragic, the league was devastated but took his death as motivation to keep going. After Kirishima heard of both their deaths, he had gotten quiet and felt like being more open was going to hurt him even more.
And to all you people wondering, there will probably be no sequel but if you want a prequel then that couldn't hurt.
