"You were there! You knew about the deal he made! And you didn't say anything!"

"He made me promise not to tell you, Dean! He made me promise not to tell either of you!"

Ever since the crossroads case, Dean and I had been having the same argument over and over. We would go periods of time without saying anything about it, and then he would blow up all over again in an endless cycle. We had been on a few more hunts since then. The first one we dealt with had to do with a demon virus called Croatoan. We ended up there because Sam had had another vision, this time of Dean shooting someone.

Sam had ended up getting infected, but for some reason it didn't effect him like it did the others. And then, Dean had admitted that John had told him that it was his job to try and save Sam, and if he couldn't, that he had to kill him. Sam ended up leaving for a little bit after that, but came back because Gordon showed back up, with the intention of killing Sam. He used Dean and I as bait.

We were now in a hotel in Cornwall, Connecticut because there had been two freak accidents in the past three weeks. With one, a lady drowned in a bathtub and then a few days before we showed up, a guy fell down the stairs and his head did a complete one-eighty.

"And why the hell would you listen to him?" Dean demanded, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Hey, I wasn't the only one keeping secrets for him, here. Would you have said anything about possibly having to kill Sam if we hadn't dealt with that freaky virus?"

"Oh, hell no. You're not turning this around on me."

"It's no different, Dean," I insisted.

"We're not talking about me right now!"

"No, of course not. Because God forbid Dean Winchester ever open up about his feelings!"

In a blink of an eye, I suddenly found myself pinned against the hotel room wall. Dean's eyes were dark as he glared into my eyes. I glared right back, matching his intensity. His eyes flickered down a bit lower toward my lips for a split second and then went right back to my eyes and I quirked an eyebrow. However, before we could go any further, the door opened and Sam walked in.

"Oh. S-sorry... I can just..."

"Don't bother," Dean said, pushing back from the wall, and allowing me to walk free. "What's up?"

"I talked to Susan. Apparently, her mom, Tyler's Grandma Rose, has an extensive doll collection. But she's sick right now and isn't taking any visitors so I couldn't talk to her."

"So, dolls, hoodoo, and a mysterious shut-in grandma?" Dean asked. "What are you thinking?"

"Well, dolls are used in all kinds of voodoo and hoodoo, like curses, and binding spells, and..."

"Yeah, maybe we found our witch doctor," Dean interrupted Sam. "Alright, I'll see what I can dig up on boomin' Granny. You get online, check old obits, freak accidents, that sort of thing, see if she's whacked anybody before."

"Right," Sam nodded.

"Don't go surfing porn- that's not the type of whacking I mean," Dean quipped, making his way out the door.

Sam just rolled his eyes, heading over to the desk. I was left standing there awkwardly, unsure if I should stay and help Sam with research, or go after Dean. I knew no matter which brother I went with, it would be awkward. With Sam because he had just walked in on Dean pinning me to the wall while we undressed each other with our eyes, and with Dean because... he was pinning me to the wall while we undressed each other with our eyes.

I finally decided on a third option, leaving the room but not going to be with Dean. Instead, I headed downstairs and decided to take a walk outside to clear my head a bit. I wandered the grounds of the hotel for about half an hour. When I finally decided to head back to the room, a coroner was carting away a body. Dean was standing with Susan on the steps and I headed up to stand with them.
