I walked up the driveway of a brick, two story home with a white picket fence outside. On the porch, I hesitated just a brief moment, and then knocked on the door, ringing the bell twice for good measure. The porchlight over my head flipped on, and a moment later, the door opened.
"Ellie Bear," my father greeted me.
"Hi, Daddy," I said softly, tears springing to the corners of my eyes.
"Oh, Ellie, what's wrong? Did something happen?"
"I don't... I don't know..." I shook my head.
"Well, come on inside," he smiled, opening the door wider and ushering me into the house.
I stepped into the front entryway, and my dad closed the door behind me. I couldn't stop staring at him.
"Dean just called, said you just... took off all of a sudden," he said.
"Dean? Right... Let me ask you a question. When I was little, what song did you play to get me to sleep?"
"Ellie, I don't understand."
"Just answer the question," I spoke firmly.
"Metallica's Enter Sandman," he answered.
"I don't believe it," I breathed, walking forward and hugging him tightly.
"Baby, you're scaring me," Dad said as I backed off. "Now, just tell me what's going on."
"You don't think wishes can, can really..."
"What?"
"Forget it," I shook my head, hugging him again. "I'm just happy to see you, is all."
I nearly started crying, but pulled myself together, pulling back once more and looking around the house.
"W-when did you move to Lawrence?" I asked him.
"When you and Dean got married," he responded. "He wanted to live closer to his mom and dad, and I wanted to stay close to you, so I moved out here, too. You know that."
"M-Mary's alive?" I stammered.
"Yeah, she is. Sweetie, are you sure you're feeling okay?"
"Yeah... Yeah, I'm fine. Probably just hormones from... from the baby..."
My father's eyes widened in surprise.
"Y-you're pregnant?"
"Yeah... Yeah, Dean and I were going to tell everyone later, but I guess I couldn't keep it from you any longer," I smiled.
I looked at some of the pictures lying around. They were mostly of me and Dean. Us at prom together, us playing in the pool together, one of me in a graduation cap and gown with Dean hugging me from behind. I picked up one of just me wearing a crown that said "Birthday Girl" sitting behind a chocolate cake with candles in the shape of a 1 and a 6.
"My 16th birthday," I muttered.
"The day you and Dean officially got together," Dad said fondly.
I looked over to see him smiling at the picture in my hand.
"I'm going to call Dean. Tell him to pick you up."
"Wait, wait," I stopped him. "Don't do that. It's late and it's just a short walk back. I'll just stay here, head back in the morning."
I walked over to the couch, sitting down.
"Are you sure you're okay?" my dad asked again, coming over and stroking my face.
"I think so," I nodded, smiling up at him.
"Okay."
He leaned down, kissing me on the top of the head, before heading upstairs to go back to bed, stopping in the doorway briefly and looking back at me.
"Get some sleep. I love you."
"I love you, too," I told him.

I woke up, still on the couch, to the sound of birds chirping as sunlight streamed through the front window. When my eyes finally adjusted, it was to focus on a picture of me, Dean, Sam, Dad, Mary and John all together in front of a Christmas tree opening presents. It hadn't been a dream... I sat up, stretching, then automatically brought my hand down to rest on my stomach. Quietly, I slipped out of the house and shut the front door softly behind me. When I turned to head back down the front walkway and go back to Dean and my apartment, I noticed him standing across the street.
However, something was off. He had blood coming down from his temple and was wearing the outfit he'd been in when we went to that warehouse. I started to move toward him, but a car passed in front of me, forcing me to stop in my tracks. When the car had finally moved out of the way, Dean had vanished. I looked around, puzzled for a minute, then started back down the street in the direction of the apartment.
When I got inside, Dean was sitting on the couch, lacing up his shoes. He was wearing worn jeans with grease stains on them and a faded Metallica shirt.
"Hey, Ellie Bear. Where'd you go last night?" he asked me.
"I spent the night at my dad's. Sorry I didn't give you any warning."
"No worries," he smiled, standing and coming over to wrap his arms around me. "I'm off to work and then we'll head over to my mom's place for the party, alright?"
"Party?"
"Ellie, it's your dad's surprise party. Don't tell me you forgot."
"Oh, right. I guess it's just pregnancy hormones... Can't seem to keep anything straight these days," I chuckled.
Dean smiled, leaning down for a kiss.
"I'll call you when I get off work, okay?"
"Okay. I love you."
"Love you, too."
After one last kiss goodbye, Dean headed out the door. I sighed contentedly. Dean and I were married, we apparently had our first kid on the way, and both my dad and his mom were alive. Dean also apparently had a respectable job, which after some more snooping, I found out he worked at a garage while I stayed home. I busied myself around the apartment, cleaning up and making myself lunch. I even started a couple pies to bring to the party later. While they were in the oven, I sat on the couch, reading a book of baby names I found on the bookshelf. I could really get used to this life. I didn't know what was going on, but whatever it was, was a dream come true.
However, no matter how perfect this dream life seemed, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was actually incredibly wrong and I kept thinking back to that image of Dean across the street earlier.
