Truth [DS Fanfic] Tanjiro×Muzan

Chapter 3 Slay 16

"Really?" Muzan asked with excitement. Tanjiro nods. They hug each other. "Let us be truthful to each other next time." Tanjiro said. Muzan nods happily. They let go and look at each other. "Dinner for two?" Tanjiro asked, but instead of saying yes, Muzan rejected it, but he truthfully says "You know I am doing trafficking? I have a meetup later tonight. So I can't have dinner with you." Tanjiro sighs he turns away and grab Muzan's wine glass, looking at the red wine before drinking it. "Would you mind if I follow?" Tanjiro adds.

Muzan peacefully rejects it because it is a private matter. Neitherways, Tanjiro agreed to it. Though he can't do anything about it, at least now, he is back in his position...A few hours later, Tanjiro walks down the hallway of Muzan's house. He receives a message. It's the address of the meetup. He sends it to Yushiro and tells him to go to that address and wait for them. Though Tanjiro has asked Yushiro if he can trust him...The main question of them all is, can they trust Tanjiro himself?

You see, what Yushiro and Nezuko doesn't know is that Tanjiro is hiding the fact that he is meeting Muzan privately...Even though we know Tanjiro's main motive, we don't know what exactly he had chosen. He as of now is still a grey piece of paper...What is he truly thinking...

That night, Muzan enters the forest. Armed demons are waiting around overlooking the surroundings. Two guards appears to be walking over and then a third man follows. Yushiro hid behind the trees watching, waiting for that third person to reveal his face. They chatted but it's inaudible.

The third person touches his face and finally reveals his face. As Yushiro watches, Nezuko watches through Yushiro's eyes. She starts to scan that guy's face.

The guy looks at Muzan in the middle of the forest. They start to talk.

??: Do you have what I want?

Muzan: Of cause. *Muzan takes out a paper and passes it to ??*

??: Yes that's what I'm here for. I-

*explosion*

??'s men: Retreat!

?? Is then escorted out, but before he can get to the car, a figure latch on to ?? And disappears. ??'s men starts to attack Muzan and his army but to no avail. They disappeared soon after. Yushiro watches from afar, disappears. Tanjiro who now just arrived back to the unknown place. He noticed Nezuko walking about, he goes up to her. They had a emotional conversation.

Tanjiro: Hey.

Nezuko slaps Tanjiro in the face.

Nezuko: So all this time, I am working for a Demon Slayer scum. You lied to me, tell me you were just a human turned demon like me. How could you.

Tanjiro: Yes. But. There were truth to it. My past, my parents. That's the truth.

Nezuko: Then why didn't you tell me?!

Tanjiro: If I tell you, will you still believe in me?

Nezuko: If you told me, I would.

Nezuko goes to the door, hse grabs hold of the handle.

Tanjiro: Oni Chan.

The room became silent.

Tanjiro: *sadden* Oni Chan. Was what you used to call me...

Nezuko: *turns to him* What are you talking about? Look I don't have ti-

Tanjiro: You and I, we lived 100 something years ago. In your past lives, you and I, we were siblings.  *turns his head to Nezuko* I know you hated the DSC, so if I were to tell you everything, would you even believe it? Perhaps this was selfish of me to not tell it to you. Please. I'm sorry.

Tanjiro reaches out to Nezuko, and tap his fingers on Nezuko's head. Its an instant reaction, flashes of the past came to Nezuko's vision.

"Where are you!" Nezuko asked to which Tanjiro replies "We will see each other one day. Grow strong, learn from them on how to defend yourself. I love you."

"Oni-Chan!",

"Don't you dare come forward!" Nezuko threatened, the figure stopped. Silent. He takes a step forward ever so slowly..the moonlight shined on his face...It's.. "Oni-Chan." Nezuko exclaimed.

Tanjiro grins..
"Hey, Nezuko."

"Oni...Chan..." Nezuko stated weakly. Tanjiro eyes widen as he turns to Nezuko whom he thought was killed by Ketsueki. He rushes over to Nezuko, placing her head on his lap as he starts to cry.

Nezuko: I know it comes to you as a shock...Isn't it funny...how I was a demon...and you cured me...I can't even cure you...I am so useless..

Tanjiro: Nezuko!

Tanjiro carries Nezuko's body, giving one last look to the place before entering the portal, the portal closes....

Nezuko takes a step back. She grabs her head in pain. She looks up at Tanjiro..

"It can't be...I urgh." Nezuko replies in pain. Tanjiro holds on to Nezuko and place her in her room where she rested. She tugs her in before closing the door. He heads back to the computer room. The first thing that is on the screen is the face of the third person. Tanjiro looks at it. Instead of being shocked, he looks normal. As if he knows beforehand....

Tanjiro is seen in Muzan's office, as he enters, Muzan is seeen being furious about what had happened. Muzan threatens to find whoever had done this.  Tanjiro goes up to Muzan to calm him down. Tapping his shoulder...Accompanying him. "I am sure that guy would appear soon babe." Tanjiro said to Muzan...

All was normal...Normal...

*Big door opens*
A chained up silhouette dangling from side to side. The light from the door shines on the silhouette revealing ?? To be...Zenitsu.
