Chapter 2 Slay 12

Ketsueki kneels in front of Tanjiro as Tanjiro takes a few deep breaths trying to recover from what he saw just now. "My lord, say the password." Ketsueki said with a smile, Tanjiro turns to him looking soulless, he closes his eyes and rested before opening his eyes again, saying "No." Ketsueki in surprise looks at him. Tanjiro stands up and attacks Ketsueki with his tail. Ketsueki jumps away and lands a few meters apart from Tanjiro. "What are you doing my lord?" He asked. Tanjiro attacks him again. Destroying parts of the cave.

"What is it?!" Ketsueki stated as he jumps from wall to wall running away from Tanjiro who is attacking the other armoured minions as well. "You wanted me to reincarnate so that you can rule the planet!" Tanjiro yells. Ketsueki lands on the floor before looking at Tanjiro. He smiles before saying "So out of all the things you remembered...you remembered this?" Tanjiro jumps into the air, slamming his tail against the floors which causes a loud thud to be heard. Ashes float in the air. Ketsueki can't see anything, everything went quiet. "My Lord. I know it's hard for you to accept, but you have to understand. You are the rightful ruler of our world." Ketsueki yelled. To which, Tanjiro's voice can be heard replying to it. "You watched as Zankoku die, you had a hidden agenda. You wanted him to die so that you can take over his world! Nezuko is right. You are a man of destruction!"

The ashes subside and Tanjiro is standing in front of the tree. He smiles.

A few days ago..

Nezuko: Oni-Chan! Please!

Nezuko yells as Tanjiro stood on the ledge, he turns around and noticed her. Standing there, he turns away not looking at her.

Tanjiro: Leave. Before I eat you. Alive.

Nezuko: You need to hear me out. Don't you realise that you are doing the wrong things?

Tanjiro: *Smirks* If I know that it's wrong, I wouldn't be doing it now am I?

Nezuko: Out of all people, you trust that guy? He is controlling you!

Tanjiro turns to Nezuko and looks at her as he smirks, laughing, before turning serious.

Tanjiro: You know why am I doing this? Because of all of you humans! I want to help you guys, but you capture me and attempted to kill me like the other demons! I won't allow that to happen to all of my kind!

Nezuko cries, she bit his lips before saying...

Nezuko: I am doing this all because of you! I want to save you! Just trust me this once. I want you to see that whoever you follow is the worst choice of them all. Why trust him? He is exactly like Muzan!

Tanjiro: Don't you dare speak that name!

Nezuko: I am telling you the truth! In no way, a demon would be willing to help another demon out! Demons kill each other for power as well! So what makes you so special to Ketsueki! Think about it!

Tanjiro's eyes soften.

Ketsueki laughs as the floor brightens, guards risen from the ground holding Nezuko and Zeinitsu, holding them hostage. (!!)

Tanjiro: Let them go!

He yells for them to let them go as Ketsueki lands behind them. Smiling as he looks at Tanjiro straight in the eyes.

Ketsueki: I will only let them go if you just say the password.

Nezuko: No!

She fidgets trying to set herself free but it was no use. She cries.

Nezuko: Don't fall for his tricks!

Tanjiro looks back and forth between Nezuko and Ketsueki, he drops to the ground can't decide on what to do.

Nezuko: Don't do it...

Tanjiro looks at Nezuko with sadness in his eyes...

Tanjiro eyes widen as he just watches Ketseuki pierce Nezuko's chest without a care, blood flows out. Tanjiro grits his teeth, he screams as he watches Nezuko falls to the ground, shaking. Zenitsu screams for her as well. He push and pull and manage to break free, running towards Ketsueki trying to pack a punch on him but Ketsueki grabs Zenitsu and throw him towards Tanjiro. Tanjiro grab Zenitsu but the force is strong enough for the two of to fly across the place and hit the walls. Zenitsu flops to the ground, vomiting blood. Tanjiro takes a deep breath as blood pours out of his mouth.

"You see, my lord...Your powers might seem strong to you, but the truth is, you are more than that. As long as you say the password. Join your true kind, these humans are nothing but of a coverup so that you wouldn't find your true you...My lord." Ketseuki said as he raises his hand towards Tanjiro who is in the midst of crying, looking at Zenitsu and of cause...Nezuko. "I...Must...." Tanjiro said weakly, as he slowly staggers to Ketseuki. !! Tanjiro looks to the ground and notice Zenitsu grabbing his leg. Whispering, trying to stop Tanjiro. Tanjiro bends down and looks at Zenitsu. He place his hand on Zenitsu's head. Rubbing his hair a little, before saying "I must. For...the two of you." He pry Zenitsu's hands away from his leg.

"If it's the power that he wants. Then I will give it to him...The only downfall is that...I might lose myself...but for the revenge of Nezuko and Zenitsu...I am willing. Even if I'm not gonna be okay."
