"I don't even know why he hates me Tubbo."
"You know you can call me Toby if you want."
"Toby! That's your name? I love it!" She grinned.
"Yeah, Tubbo's just for online really."
"Awesome." The two were sat in a vc just chatting. Tubbo loved how cheerful she was and laughed at his jokes. It was a nice break from Tommy and Wilbur. Rose enjoyed talking to someone her own age, and he was so kind to her.
"Is Rose your real name?"
"Mmm, well it's my middle name, only my mom called me by my first name."
"Called?" Tubbo asked, confused by the past tense.
"Yeah uh, she passed a few years ago. Cancer."
"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"
"No no, it's fine."
They were silent for a moment, "Fuck cancer."
Rose bursted out laughing. It was so unexpected and simple, she thought it was hilarious the way he said it. He started to apologize, knowing she didn't really like cursing.
"Don't apologize, my thoughts exactly." She sighed and looked at her phone, feeling it buzz. "Oh."
"What?"
"Tommy dmed me on Twitter."
"Did he apologize?"
"Did you tell him to?"
"Yeah- he doesn't always know when he's done something mean."
She sighed and turned her phone off. "I don't want to deal with him right now."
"He is sorry you know. He's not actually like that."
"Whatever. So what did you do today?" She asked, changing the subject.

and even though I was joking around,
I can see that it's not a great way to first
meet someone. So I'm sorry and I hope
we can at least be friends.
