03x22: Father's Side

Minho decided to visit his father after Jisung left to Jeju with his fellow surgeons and doctors.

"Dad?" Minho called as he saw his father in the kitchen brewing coffee

"Can we talk?" Minho asked and earned a nod from his father and lead them to the veranda and sat beside each other.

"What do you want to talk about?" His father asked

"Do you not hate me being different from other people? Like, I'm in a relationship with Jisung?"

His father sighed in contentment and sipped on his coffee

"I've been observing people all of my life, generations to generations. When I first saw a homosexual relationship, I was shocked and thought 'Why is that a thing?' But as the time goes by, I learnt how things progressed and my mind was open more than ever. I learned to accept that and eventually loved how people looked so happy with their partner. Some parents or people may think that homosexuality is bad and was more focused on their bible instead of looking out for their child and love them for who they are and who they identified as what. They missed a lot of moments with people because of all the hatred and anger that's in their heart. Minding someone's business rather than focusing in loving their own blood and neighbor. It hurts me that there are still people that has kind of mindset like that, their children didn't deserved any of that."

"Now with you, I know that you are in a relationship with Jisung and that was kinda obvious but I don't know what you did to him or to each other to end up like this. Do you think a single threat would waver me? Hell nahh. A fatherly advice, when things go like this again, talk to each other and solve things together and don't hide things from your partner. It would look like you don't trust each other enough. I hope and I know that you'd correct the things that you've done, but I hope it wouldn't be too late. Why? I love that guy, he looks perfect to be my son-in-law" His father replied while chuckling

"Wait, how did you know that I was being blackmailed by Goeun?" Minho asked in shock

"I am your father son, I know everything. Don't worry, I already handled your problem and now you can live happily with Jisung" his father replied

"What did you do?" Minho asked in curiousity

"Let's just say that I am their largest stockholder and investor and I pulled out my shares. Eventually, all of their shareholders followed me by pulling out. Expect the downfall of their company soon. I also personally told her "You hurt my son, then I'll let you pay the price multiple times the damage you've done to my family. Have fun with your three quarters". Yep, I told her that and she was speechless. All of their assets are gone, accounts are freezed, making them penniless in a few moments." Minho's dad explained leaving Minho in shock knowing that his dad is really powerful

"Anyways, I will try to pursue him again when he come back from the medical mission in Jeju a week from now. Thanks dad for your kind words and I hope every parent in this world have this kind of mindset where they accept their children wholeheartedly no matter who or what they are. Love you dad" Minho replied

"Love you too son"
