No one pov :
Come on baby wake up it's time for your mission. Didn't you want me to wake you up by 5 am today? says the Queen and leaves the prince's room to finish up her morning chores.
The prince wakes up and gets ready for his daily training mission. He goes down and greats both the Queen and the King.
"Good morning dad, Good morning mom".
"Very good morning son" comes the reply.
"Son, I have a very important thing to speak about. Let's wait for your mom to come and then we can talk about it." said the king. The prince nodded his head.
The queen arrived and all of them sat at the dining table to have their breakfast, the king started the conversation by saying. "Son, you are in your teenager now, have you planned about your love life, have you decided or thought about whom you want as your Queen? Whom would you want to make as our future Queen?" The prince was surprised at the sudden confrontation with his father. "Dad, I have been searching for my Queen but I feel there is no one here on this land that can actually suit me. If you permit me then I would like to go and search for her on Earth." the prince said with hopeful eyes. The king looked at the Queen and was silent for a moment.
The prince continued again saying "Dad, I however have to go on a trip on Earth to find people whom we can make as fairies. Why don't I find my queen there? I will use this trip to create and show my love to her and then get her here. That will be good right?"
"Son, before you make any decision, let me tell you this. Our great grandmother was the first Queen of this Fairyland and the first fairy as well. She used to go to Earth, once a year to find pure-hearted people and make them fairies. On a fine day, she found a perfect man for herself and thought to get married to him. She didn't take any second thought and loved him in the human form, and got married to him on Earth. Because she was married to a human form and didn't consider thinking or giving a second thought she was not able to save many of the fairies in the war. There were many who perished and we never got the victory to date. Her fault was not that she loved a human or wanted to marry them, but the fault was that she loved and married him in a human form. If only she took a second thought and brought that King to the Fairyland first and transformed him into a fairy and then love and marry him, then we would never have been defeated in that war. It's not a sin to love a human, but the human should be first made as a fairy and then you can love them and get married to them." with that the King had tears in his eyes, thinking about all the bad that has happened to them.
Fairies were made as saviors for humans but no one ever thought about what a fairy must be going through all these years. The Prince was silent for a while. The Queen spoke up "Son, it's your wish from where you would want your Queen but, my suggestion is to take a good search on the fairyland first, and then maybe you can go and find her on earth. We are not against having a daughter-in-law from the earth, but you surely know the rules, hence be careful."
"Mom, trust me, I will not do anything wrong and this time if the war happens, I will make sure to win it and gain victory." Both the King and the Queen were happy.
---Next day---
"Son are you ready to go on a tour, your team is already here." asks the Queen. It was always the Queen's responsibility to select the right ones as faries but they can always take a team of people with them to find as there is a great population on Earth.
Prince pov:
I have been on Earth for almost a day. It's evening here and I didn't find any good person on earth to select them as fairies. I sit at the seashore to enjoy the sunset. I suddenly feel warmth in my heart. I felt my heartbeat go fast. I didn't understand that feeling. At first, I thought it was something strange, maybe it was a sign of danger. I stood up and just flew up into the air without any second thought. Up from the sky, I saw a girl walking on an empty road.
Oh, it's Cathy there right? "Hey Cathy," I say landing beside her.
Cathy bowed down to the prince and asked. "Hello, my prince. How come you are here today? Have you come again for another trip or you were feeling lonely?"
I knew Cathy since her childhood. Her house was on the sea shore. She lost her parents when she was 7 years old and lived by herself since then, she always believed in fairies and always prayed to the fairies to give her safety. She never wished for any riches or wealth or popularity etc. All she ever wanted from her childhood was safety. She always had a fear that people might do something bad to her, hence she made it her daily routine to pray to the faries every day and night. She wished to be a fairy when she grew big but never told anyone about it. I always followed her to keep her safe and I was her secret fairy who took good care of her until she reached a certain age when she finally was able to take care of her own safety. She also had another wish that she never told anyone, not even her secret fairy. Since I was able to read people's minds, I knew that her secret wish was to become a fairy for the rest of her life. We were like best friends. Every time we had a trip here or when I felt lonely, I quickly made my way to Earth and landed near her. She knew almost everything about our land except a few secrets that shouldn't be known.
"Yeah, back again for a trip. If you don't mind, may I ask you for your age?" I asked.
"Why do you ask me my age all of a sudden? Anyway. I will be turning 18 tomorrow, or maybe in just a few more hours." says Cathy.
"Wow, I guess I came at perfect timing, so what's your wish this year? Have you thought of what you want from me as your secret fairy?" I ask
"I have thought about it, but I want to tell my wish only when I blow the candles," said Cathy.
I reached here at a perfect time. I know she is gonna blow the candles tomorrow and wishes to be a fairy. As soon as the candles are blown she will be taken to the Fairyland. That would be a perfect gift for her this time. I thought. I have to prepare things for her in the Fairyland. I would want her 18th birthday to be perfect for her.
