Sam's POV
Number of times I was prodded with a bobby pin that morning- 17
Number of times I was burned by a curler/potential torture device- 5
Number of times I said a bad word in another language- 34
Number of times Liz said 'Oopsie Daisy' while messing with my hair (which scared me to death)- 19
Number of times I complain to Bex which lead her to tug on my hair harder- 26
Number of times Macey commanded me to sit still while she did my makeup- 12Waking up in the morning was more like preparing for my wedding and not a date, I was prodded with bobby pins, burned with a curling iron, and forced to wear a push-up bra. Cammie however didn't have to wear a push-up bra because the shirt she was wearing didn't rely on cleavage like mine did, when questioning if I could change shirts I was tortured further with the deadly substance of makeup.
"Girls, I don't understand this, why me," I whine to Bex, looking up into her eyes.
"Sweetie, you're on a honeypot mission not a for-your-own-leisure mission," and at that point I realized that Bex was not my friend anymore.
Right when I was about to voice my thoughts Tina Walters knocked on the door announcing that we would be leaving in 5 minutes. My scowl deepened and I stomped out of our suite with them.
THE PROS AND CONS OF GOING ON A HONEYPOT MISSION TO LEARN SECRET INFORMATION ON A PARTICULARLY SECRETIVE SUBJECT: (a list by Samantha Shade and Cameron Morgan)
•PRO: The Operatives realized that the subjects both had very good smelling soap. (The Operatives noted to find out exactly what soap this was at a later date)
•CON: Operative Shade learned that push-up bras did a lot of pushing up and we're not comfortable at all.
•PRO: The Operatives did manage to get the subjects near enough so they could have cover but not found out.
•CON: Honey potting missions meant you had to actually speak to the subject. (which was distressing for The Operatives)
•PRO: The Operatives, having been to Roseville many times, knew their way around so they weren't completely lost.
•CON: The Subjects seemed they didn't want to give up any information. (which wasn't surprising since they were labeled as mysterious)---
"Shadow, Chameleon, they both look really good. Blink if you guys think they look good," Liz's voice wormed its way into my ear. (pun intended, if you actually are a fan you'll know;))
And in fact Blake did look good, and smell good. But if I ever admitted that to his face I would be dying. We continued to walk down the sidewalk as the parade passed by us.
"So, um, what do you want to do?" I question.
"Um, we can just go see a movie if you want to," he trailed off nervously and I realized that he was nervous too.
I didn't answer because we couldn't see a movie unless Cam and Zach were going to see a movie but I heard no chatter on our comms unit. I looked over and saw Cammie being pulled into an alleyway by Zach, this can't be good.
"Bex you still have eyeball?" I heard Macey ask in the comms.
"No, they just disappeared," Bex replied and I could see her moving about slightly before the crowd took her over.
I desperately wanted to yell to them that Cam was in the alley but since Blake is with me that seems like a not so good idea. Hoping that I had their attention I signed to them that she was in the alley but I didn't hear them acknowledge my sign language.
"Uh yeah, that sounds good lets go to that store really quick though okay?" I pointed at store right next to the alley. He nodded and we quickly crossed the street and towards the store. Only then that I realized that the store I wanted to go into was a Victoria Secret, my cheeks flamed but I still rushed towards it and I caught some of their conversation.
"Gallagher Girl, I'm going to kiss you now," I looked into reflection of the stores window and I saw Zach lean into her. But that was before a girl called out to them.
"Cammie? Is that you?" Zach pulled back and I saw him mouth a very bad word in Farsi. The girl was small, and pink. Like I'm-in-love-with-pink-and-will-only-wear-pink-mittens love. But I had to admit the pink mittens were adorable and I knew Cam was thinking the same thing. The boy next to the girl was staring at Cam with so much hurt in his eyes I thought he might break. Cams eyes were wide when she noticed them and I knew she knows them.
Josh.
The name suddenly appeared in my head and I thought that maybe Bex had said them but I knew that she hadn't.
"Hey, are we just gonna stand here all day?" Blake said from beside me.
"Oh sorry," I say and spin around. "I actually don't need anything from here," I twisted my lips and shrugged.
"Okay so do you want to go now?"
"Uh yeah, let's go."
I had no choice but leave my teammate behind in a potentially -no scratch that- very high risk environment.
As we walked down the street towards the movie house and away from my backup I spun my ring from Cov Ops class around my finger, the ring that tells truths from lies. My movement freezes when I see the man, the man that I hadn't only seen once, not twice either, but three times now. The rule of thumb that all spy's go under, one time is a stranger, twice is a coincidence, but three times is a tail. The words weren't my own but they rung in my head anyways. I don't remember the exact time that I had seen his face but I remembered exactly what he looked like and I know that the second time he was wearing a different colored jacket, reversible I realized.
"Blake," I whisper harshly.
His head turns my way, "What is it Sam," he sounded slightly nervous and the was he kept clenching his jaw was an obvious tell.
"Are we being tailed?"
"Other than your roommates?"
I didn't even bother to ask him how he knew, "Yeah, guy at your 2 hundred wearing the orange jacket."
"Sam he looks like a regular guy to me," he said back firmly barely even glancing at the man.
"He was wearing a green jacket earlier," I whisper back looking up at his face.
"Sammie seriously, look at that guy he looks like a hotdog stain ready to happen."
"So you've never seen him before?"
"No," he says firmly. And I probably would have believed him if it weren't for the slight buzz on my finger. Blake just lied to me. He has seen the man before.
"Oh, well, I'm gonna run to the bathroom in that store really quick okay," but my tone had no asking in it.
He nodded at me and I rushed into the nearest store. "Bex, Macey, Liz, Cam? We have a problem. Blake just lied to me about a tail that's on us, where are you guys? Do you have a tail too?"
"Yes," the four of them all answered.
"Okay we need to tell everyone and head to Gallagher as quickly as possible, we need to report this."
They all agreed and I slipped out the back door of the store. I stayed in the shadows until I was a good block away from Blake. I let out my inner Pavement Artist and blended right into the crowds until I found the girls.
"You all had tails?" I question looking around at the group.
Everyone answers yes and Cam says that Zach denied to know their tail but he did also. Wow, brothers. We quickly formed the plan that we needed to go back to Gallagher and tell everyone so we ran as quickly and as sneaky as possible.
When we got there the only thing I could hear was;
CODE BLACK. CODE BLACK. CODE BLACK.
So I realized that I haven't exactly undated on a normal basis but basketball is starting up again so my updating time is kinda limited. But now I'm on Spring Break and I plan to update at lease twice if not thrice (maybe more if you're lucky). I know that you all probably think I'm rushing the story but I'm going according to what my plans are in my head, some good shits about to happen so you better be ready! I really like doing those lists so I'm gonna be doing more of those. Ciao for now!
