Sorry this is late.... I was finishing the new Ally Carter Embassy Row book! You should listen to Fight Song by Rachel Platten while reading this! Now get on with it! *Holy Grail voice*
Sam's POV
My eyes scanned the room quickly before I look back up to Mr. Solomon, "Well, it's a nice place you got here but its in my saddest regrets to inform you both that I want to go to the dock. Now," I state firmly.
Mr. Solomon smirked at my comment, "Then by all means, leave."
Aunt Rachel opened her mouth like she wanted to argue before shaking her head. I yanked off my covers and tried to stand, however something bulky cover almost my whole leg, from my mid thigh to mid calf. I stumbled, dizziness from what I assume is a minor concussion made my head feel like a jackhammer was in it, I almost fell back into the bed if it weren't for Aunt Rachel quickly grabbing me.
"You will be needing crutches for now, your knee is almost shattered but the doctors at school have some pills you can take to quicken the healing process," Aunt Rachel informed me.
My eyes shoot to where Mr. Solomon is looking at me with a smirk on his face, he knew I was going to fall. Cheeky bastard. I sneered at him before yanking the crutches that were leaned again the wall to me. I slowly hobbled out of the house and saw Cam and Macey sitting on the edge of the dock, not talking just sitting there. The sound of my crutches against the wood of the dock informed them of my arrival, they both turned around allowing me to finally see what happened to them. Cam had a bandage wrapped around her head which I'm assuming I also have, but Macey's arm was wrapped up in a cast. I frowned at that, if only I was stronger I could have protected them. I slowly leaned myself down and placed my crutches on the floor as I took a spot next to Cammie.
"Hey guys," I whisper quietly.
"Are you okay?" Macey asked in concern.
"Yeah I'm going to be fine, just got to wear this stupid cast for a little while, nothing I can't handle," I say and put a weak grin on my face.
"Yeah I broke my arm in three places, going to wear this thing for a while. The committee was mad at first but they think it might bring in some more votes." Macey said nodding her head at the end. That's all that matters in her life, votes.
I look to my side at Cam, "How you doing Arrow?" I ask using my nickname for her.
"Doing mighty fine, Fire." Cam said back in a southern accent.
Macey raises one of her perfectly plucked eyebrows at us, "Cam use to dig for arrowheads in her grandparents back yard," I explained.
"And Sam lite my barn on fire," Cam says with a smirk.
Macey lets out a chuckle before asking for more information. "So Sam decided to see if she could make hay that would cause horses that ate it to be faster. I, of course, informed her of the fact that we didn't have a professional experiment lab or even the right tools she needed to make that. However she completely ignored that and started her testing-"
"It was going great at first!" I cut in.
"But then she heated up a flask of silicon, for what I don't know, and it caught fire which made all of the hay, her test results and materials, and the barn go up in flames," Cammie finished and laughed at the story, Macey joining her. I frowned at them laughing at me before trying to get up (which proved much harder than I thought it would be). Aunt Rachel finally brought end to my suffering by telling us it was time to go home.
Finally. School.
---
It took us 1 hour, 43 minutes and 27 seconds to get back to school. But the aforementioned 'us' didn't include Macey, a woman and a group of 7 Secret Service agents came to pick her up 50 minutes away from the cabin because Mr. Solomon would have had to kill them if they found his cabin.
