Talking to Tom

Surprisingly we made it through the crowd of people and got home.

"She needs a diaper change...would you?"

Tom rolls his eyes and agrees. He takes her from my arms and walks to the nursery.

I need to take our things to my room and put things away. I feel quite a rush of energy but they said that will wear off with time, hopefully not soon.

I go to the bathroom and unpack my bag, I can hear Caroline start crying in the other room. Tom is freaking out already.

"Hunny she doesn't sound good, I don't think she likes me yet..."

"Tom, it's alright. She's alright. And she is going to calm down with me easier at first because she can smell me."

"I don't think you stink that bad"

Excuse me?

"Tom, baby's know there mother's voice, scent, and milk. It's not weather I smell good or not, which I don't?"

"Oh..I'm sorry"

"Sure, sure"

I giggle a little and cradle Caroline, she immediately stopped crying when she got to my arms. And I really thought she would be a daddy's girl..

Maybe soon, for now I'm completely alright with it.

I find myself in the chair the rest of the day. Tom was constantly checking on me and Caroline, like when I needed to pee or she did and he had to change her.

He changed her diapers the entire day, how sweet.

But like really though, how sweet.

I got into bed, Caroline was sleeping in her bayonet next to our bed.

"Goodnight baby..."

Tom kisses her soft head, and smooths her little head of hair before getting to bed with me. "She's beautiful, everything I could of asked for"

"I know, she seems to be sleeping well maybe we don't need her to stay in here tonight."

"We'll I don't want to risk it now that she's already asleep, let's just get some rest."

He kisses my forehead and curls next to me.

"I love you"

"I love you too"
