Talking to Tom

Me and Tom pull up at the airport and his parents are waiting there for us. We park and Tom jumps out to hug his mother, I get out and hug them too.

"you guys ready to eat?"

Tom packs their bags in the trunk,

"of course! we skipped the meal on our flight and just had little snacks."

we all get in the car and start to drive to the restaurant.

"Well Claire this is going to be a good experience, getting to actually talk with you normally now that we know you better and we get to meet your family!"

I try to keep a smile on my face

"yes of course but sadly my sister can't come, she is going with her boyfriends family. I think you will get along greatly with my parents, you guys are both very sweet."

We pull up to the restaurant and get seated at a booth,

"so Claire what has Tom been like? I know he can be a little sassy sometimes...."

me and Tom laugh

"well he has been very sweet but everynow and then he gets sassy but its an okay sassy he never likes raising his voice he just likes having an opinion. you know?"

His parents look at me like I'm crazy

"oh Tom you really did find the one!"

She looks at her husband
"for sure Thomas!"

If you can't tell his dad likes calling him Thomas. We get served our food pretty fast and get home not soon after.

"Tom don't forget we need to be up early to pick my parents up."

he yawns

"I remember as you can see I'm already in bed!"

He says that while climbing into bed. I go and turn off the light in our room,

"Claire? come back I want to do something."

I walk back

"did you think I would runaway?"

I giggle.

"Here just lay flat..."

I do as he says, he places his hand on my lower stomach.

"Alright baby I saw that when you talk like this they like their dad more, so don't let me down. I can't wait til you come out and I'm hoping you are a healthy and thats all."

He then kisses me and my stomach.

"aww Tom I think we already knew the baby would like you better anyway"

I giggle again.

"you are very sweet but go to bed! I already know you are gonna be grumpy when you wake up tomorrow."

I roll over and fall asleep.

I wake up to my alarm and nudge Tom until he also wakes up. I walk out into the kitchen to grab a glass of water and find Toms mother already awake reading a book?

"Oh goodmorning Claire! Would you like if I came with to grab your parents?"

I walk over and sit down in the chair

"well actually I'm staying while Tom gets them."

she closes her book
"and why is that?"

I set my glass down ready for action

"well the car can only fit so many people and I just feel a little nauseous."

I stand up and put my glass by the sink

"well I'll just head back to the bedroom then."

She walks away. I knew me and her would have little fights but I don't know what happened there?

Anyway I walk back to the bedroom and find Tom in the closet,
"my moms already up I see?"

I nod and grab my sweater

"maybe I will go with?"

He grabs my arm

"its alright she is like me in the mornings so she didn't mean harm just a little tired."

I sit on the edge of the bed

"I'll be back soon with your parents, lay back down. You have been working to hard lately are you need more rest."

He leaves and I can't fall asleep so I just go on my phone til he comes back.

I can hear Tom pull up in the driveway and what I thought was my mother coming to the door it was my younger sister Miley!

"Oh my gosh Claire you are so beautiful!"

Well I think it was my sister at least?

"Oh Miley I thought you were going with Lukes for Christmas?"

She loses her smile

"he dumped me last month... anyway I got over it fast and I have turned my life around! I'm back to nice happy original Miley!"

I hug her over and over then greet my parents.
