WheeIn awkwardly bent down with the dress. She wore a long skirt and spaghetti strap pink blouse with a white bohemian skirt. And then dirty white thick beaded necklace.
"Don't worry, you look so good," Solar smiled at her friend. "You look more like a model than me."
WheeIn frowned. If it weren't for Solar's stern invitation and her Mom's urging, she probably wouldn't be here. The scratch on her arm were no longer obvious in her spaghetti blouse that fits her body. She was disgusted by Solar's comment when she saw her.
She looks like a teenager. So gross. If she could just have decided it on her own, she wouldn't want to go to this party. Solar was the only one who insisted and even got her Moms permission.
"Byul is here, WheeIn," Solar announced as they entered the hall. "I'm sorry, I really meant not to tell you first."
She hesitated to smile. "That's okay, her girlfriend is here."
"No, you don't understand," Solar shook her head and pulled WheeIn into a corner. "I purposely invited you here so you can formally meet Byul.
"What are you thinking?"
"Start getting her attention," Solar's voice was very casual. "Byul and I talked last night. I asked if she really did treat you."
"What did she tell you?"
"She allegedly treated you almost a week ago," she whispered.
"Anyway, I think you're up to her taste so don't worry. If only given the chance, I know she'll like you easily."
"Aren't you terrified of what you said, Solar-sshi?" between amusement and annoyance in hers voice as her friend nudge her. "She's your girlfriend but with your tune, you want to give her away."
"I have a dream to pursue, WheeIn-ah," she said in a cold voice.
WheeIn sighed. She could hear the friend's true feelings. Although in its eyes is love, there is no denying the fact that Solar also loves her dream. She is divided into two loves.
But Solar has become more practical.
"You don't have to give away your girlfriend," she said. "If you're only after the talent fee, your girlfriend can afford to give you money ----"
"She has money, yes," she raised her face. "But there's more out there than money. Besides, she wants us to get married. I think, I'm too young to get married. At my age, it's more important to reach my dream, WheeIn and you know I've always dreamed of being an actress. "
"It's your choice."
"Yesterday I came from the movie outfit office," Solar shrugged as her eyes rolled around. Apparently looking for a familiar face. "They're still looking for a manager for me. They will not sign a contract until I have an official manager."
"I didn't know that being an actress takes a lot of process."
"The manager is the one who negotiates the talent fees," she said proudly. "All my credentials and portfolio are in the movie outfit office so they won't have a hard time finding me a manager."
"Congrats when you've signed the contract."
"In about one to two weeks I'll have a contract and I'm an actress."
"Well goodluck to your movie career ----"
"Oh, gosh," she said. "Byul's here."
WheeIn winced. Her friend's shallowness came out. They are both graduates from a University with caliber when it comes to students. And they were both former activists there when they were still studying but Solar made a different path. She thinks popularity is now more important to Solar than what they're fighting for back then.
