"You intentionally leave Byul and me at the party, didn't you?" she said when Solar visited her. "You meant that to turn his attention to me." "Don't scold me anymore, please," Solar nagged. "I'm closer to my dreams, there's no reason for me to stop dreaming now."
"But how about your girlfriend, Solar-sshi?"
"I'm leaving Byul to you, WheeIn-ah."
"That's how easy it is for you to say that thing?"
"My dream is within my reach, will I stop now?" she asked her. "Many women dream of becoming an actress and I already have that dream of many. I also don't want us to break-up and hurt Byul. "
"You don't want the break-up to come from you so that won't be blame ..."
"You like Byul, don't you?"
WheeIn was stunned for a moment. For the first time she lost her voice on an issue. And it hasn't happened yet that she fell silent on an argument. Except now.
"Byul is yours now, WheeIn." She smiled and patted the girl on the shoulder. "My only problem now is how to divert her attention to you. I can't promise you anything because if it's just a material thing, you won't have any difficulty."
"If I agree to what you want, I don't need a reward for what I do," she replied flatly.
"All right just like that," she smiled. "If Byul falls in love with you, she's all yours. I promise, I won't bother you. Because when that happens, I'll start my career as well."
"I hope the things you want to happen are right, Solar," she whispered to her friend.
"Haven't you learned your lesson?" it was Woo-sung when he saw the youngest child dressed.
WheeIn was wearing a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. The back pack is held in one hand.
"I warned you, WheeIn," there was a warning in Woo-sung's voice. "We have agreed that you will not participate in those rallies anymore."
"But, Papa," she said in gentle reasoning. "Our rallies are rare. Besides, I'm not ---"
"You're not leaving!"
"I ask permission to mama."
"I'm the law in this house, WheeIn," Woo-sung insisted. "I am your father and it only makes sense that I should take care of your welfare as my child!"
"Just now, Pa," she pleads. "Only this time, I'll ask you this favor. I always follow you ---"
"You didn't follow everything I said, WheeIn," there was a punch in its voice. "Are we going back to the beginning?"
The girl bowed. She knew what the father wanted to define. Her stubbornness. Her disobedience to all his father wants. He wanted her to go to a girls' school in France. But she still chose to study at Seoul National University. She insisted everything. Her dad wanted her to take a law or theater course. But instead she took Sociology and worked in the non-government organization as one of the office staff.
Her salary was very small. And she looks very simple. In the desire to be one with her co-workers she does not dress in the usual attire of a rich man's daughter does. She became accustomed to simplicity when she studied at Seoul National University.
"What you said then, you will give us what makes us happy ..."
"But not like this, WheeIn-ah." Woo-sung shook his head. "It's not in this way that you know. It's not by joining the rally that will let you get hurt."
"I promise I'll be fine." She tenderly embraced her father. "This will be the last, I promise."
"I hope so." Woo-sung smiled as well. "You see, I didn't object when you took a different course and even when you worked in a different office."
