a story about love languages

I wouldn't ask you why you are still awake,

but I'd replace your bottles of trazodone pills

with music box of lullabies instead (and perhaps adding lo-fi chill music to your watch later playlist, too)

I wouldn't tell you to eat healthy food,

instead

I'll fill your fridge with broccoli florets and ripe avocados and overnight oatmeal

I'll restock your pantry with spices, seeds, dips and colorful pastas (and little treats!)

and leave sticky notes on the fridge door for instructions

I'd know what scent to get for your scented candles

and make sure you won't run out of your 8-steps skincare routine products

I'd love you,

both with and without words

cause I know you'd need assurances on some days

and reassurances on the days when assurances aren't enough.
