I woke up groggily after resting my head against the couch in a random apartment. Oops. Was I that blackout drunk? I shrug it off, getting my blazer and pulled my phone out to check the time.
Jiwoo's classes has already ended, making me feel like crap since I should have walked her home. Especially with those fugly bullies. I slapped myself a couple of times to feel more awake and took a taxi home.

I quickly hopped off the taxi and looked around. It looked normal, but today the air felt stiffer and colder than usual. I have a bad feeling about this.
The loud bang of a gunshot arrived and I screamed, bringing my hands to my head. I frantically looked around for Jiwoo and ran up to our apartment.
I gasped, seeing the text on my phone and quickly ran up to see my sister. My heart was beating like a drum, hoping it wasn't what I think it was.
I saw my dad, lying in a pool of his own blood, clutching a knife as Jiwoo cries and clutches his body in her arms.
Well, shit.
Tears balled out of my eyes and my phone slipped out of my hands. I ran to my dad, trying to see if he was still breathing.
"Dadd!!" I sprinted in my three inch heels, hearing the screeches of it against the floor.
Everything felt like it was recorded in slow motion. I felt myself panicking as I went to kneel besides him, checking his vitals.
He's dead. There's no longer a heartbeat.

"Jiwoo," I called her softly after reporting our father's death to the police. "We'd better get a hotel tonight. It's not safe"
She whipped her head at me. "This is my home"
"I know, it's just for the night, yes? We'll figure it out" I forced a dry smile as I laid my hands on her shoulder, my tears consistently dripping.
She looked at me, voice cracking.
"How will we live without him?"I didn't have an answer for her.
