Taeju's body jerked backward due to the impact of the bullet and the broken glass shards cut through his soft flesh.
"Taeju!" I called out, getting out of the bed to help him.
He groaned in pain and clutched his stomach.
Oh, no. I hope it didn't hit his vitals. I stepped on some of the glass shards while trying to lift him.
"I'm fine," he said, coughing out his words.
I hear the heavy footsteps of many people downstairs and I knew we had to move. Or we're dead meat.
"Come here. Do you have a gun?" his hand draped over my shoulder as I tried to help him walk, but he refused to go.
"What are you doing? We need to go," I hissed.
He panted and clutched onto his wound. "No, there's many of them. You're better off alone. I don't have anything with me since I just came from meeting with a client. It's considered to be rude. Go, now."
I rolled my eyes and put him on my bed, lying upwards so he doesn't bleed to death. I grabbed my phone and immediately called Mujin to ask for help.
He didn't pick up. Damn it. I don't have my own gun because I still lived with Mujin and he said "I'm too hot-headed to be trusted with a gun". Whatever the hell that means.
The only gun in this house is in Mujin's room. Luckily, it's upstairs so I might be able to grab it in time without Taeju.
"Ok, I'm leaving first. Bye-bye Taeju," I said and left the half-dead man alone, sneaking off.
There was no one upstairs yet. There must be only one or two people attacking.
Once I saw the coast is clear, I stealthily ran to Mujin's room, only to be spotted as I reached the front door.
The man was wearing all black with his face covered. Probably six feet tall?
I didn't get enough time for a good look before he tried to aim the gun at me, shooting at the railings, and missed me by a centimeter.
I wasted no time running into Mujin's room to grab the gun.
I locked the doors and rummaged through his cabinets. The gun was nowhere to be found. Fuck, maybe I shouldn't have left my phone there.
I opened his dresser and there was a safe.
What in the Wattpad is this?
I was too frustrated to realize that the intruder had shot inside, missing me again.
"Dude, fuck you!" I cussed at him.
He ignored me and started to use his gun to bang the door handle. Wait, this is the perfect opportunity for me to shoot him!
The only problem is, what is the password? Mujin's birthday? What, 1 2 3 4 5 6?
Beep!
Oh, it IS 123456. Seriously?
I aimed at the door and shot through it repeatedly.
The man groaned and I heard a thud.
Yes! He's down.
I kicked the door open and used my feet to nudge his legs, checking if he's awake. He didn't respond so I stepped on his balls.
"Arrgh!! You bitch!" he groaned in pain as he grabbed me by the ankle and he pegs me down on the floor.
He squeezed my wrists, effectively disarming me.
I tried wiggling out, but he wouldn't budge. Damn is he strong. I knew I couldn't fight him head-on since he will obviously overpower me.
