Someone had rebuilt NPG's house.

It was the first thing Grian noticed the next morning, flying over to check on his robot-clone. According to Cub, he'd been found unconscious, half under a pile of wood, when he'd checked after Etho's death. They'd trapped him... and now the area he'd been in was gone, and the house rebuilt.

Something had happened.

Grian: Mumbo? Cub? Can we meet by Rusty's home?

Mumbo Jumbo: coming!

Grian: Cub? You coming too?

Grian stared at chat, the uneasiness of Cub's lack of communication growing until someone called his name.

'Oh my goodness, Mumbo that genuinely terrified me.' He turned to see his moustached friend, standing there.

'So... what's changed- oh my goodness gracious, who did that?!' Mumbo walked towards the house, Grian's gaze following behind.

'I don't know. I found it like this and wanted answers.'

'It... looks good! Very good! Insanely good! Who would even do this?!'

'Mumbo, be careful.' Grian stepped towards his friend. 'I don't know if 'Rusty' is still around. Anyway, we should wait for Cub before doing anything. He's the only intelligent member of the group.'

'That is very true... what should we do instead.'

'You tell me, potato boy.'

'I don't know!' Mumbo half-laughed back. 'Don't expect me to know these kinds of things!'

'Then let's just wait here.'

'Mumbooo... Cub's not here yeeettt...'

'I... noticed that myself, strangely enough...'

'What should we doooo...?'

'Uhh... i don't know?'

'Mumboooo...'

'You've been at this all day, Grian!' Mumbo groaned. 'Cub's still not here!'

'But whyyyy?!'

'I don't know! I'm just a potato!'

Silence.

'Mumbooo...'

'I'm going to look for NPG.'

'Wait, what?!' Grian sat up, alert. 'Mumbo, what are you...'

'Don't worry... I'll try to stay safe.'

He walked off, leaving Grian to fall back onto his back, bored, and this time with no one to annoy.

What had he done?

In the name of all things good about rustic houses, what had he done?!

He'd killed a hermit, and trapped another 2. And the worst thing?

He felt good about it.

He felt oh, so good.

It was amazing.

He was FREE.

...

And also homeless.

The two prisoners were in his house. Which meant NPG had nowhere to go. So he was hiding behind the house, hoping no one would spot him while he tried to come to terms with what he'd done.

...It turned out he wasn't good at hiding.

The same moustached 'friend' as before appeared and stopped suddenly in front of him. For a moment, NPG's programming failed him, leaving him momentarily brain-dead while he figured out an escape plan.
