Port mafia. One of the most dangerous gifted organisations. But it didn't change the fact that somebody without a gift can be a very important part of it. For example her. You admired Gin a lot, even without ability she was stronger than you and many other ability users as well. But it didn't affect your friendship at all. The only problem was... what if you wanted something more than that? You had pretty strong feelings for her. But you knew that you're not prepared to confess. Not yet.

Every single time you two went on a mission together, you were overthinking it. You were too scared to tell her. What if she denies you? What if she'll think you're disgusting? But at the same time... your job wasn't safe at all and there always was a possibility of you getting killed. What if you die without telling her about your feelings? But after all... isn't it still better than living in a world where she hates you for your feelings?

,,(Y/N)!" Her voice and a hard hit made you stop thinking as she moved you out of bullet's way and the two of you fell on the ground, her right on top of you. Damn it. Without her you would get killed once again, you've given up on counting how many times it happened already. Before you could move, she was already standing on her two feet, running to the enemy, prepared to react on whatever move he makes.

You wanted to watch her stunning beauty as she fought against a group of men from the other organisation, but you knew you have to help her. You stood up, taking a gun in your hand. You shot one of these enemies right before he attacked Gin, probably saving her from some more trouble. You ran closer, decided not to use your gun anymore as long as the other men are too close to Gin because one wrong move could mean that you shot her instead of one of your enemies.

You took a knife out of your pocket. You were not really good at fighting from a short distance, but Gin already learned you some things so you were not bad either. You attacked one of your enemies, making him fall on the ground in agony, then taking out your gun. You shot three bullets into his body to make sure he won't cause you anymore trouble later.

You looked at Gin, realising that she already got the rest done. ,,Now let's take these files Mori wanted us to bring and get out of here." She said, her voice so quiet so you could barely hear it. She walked to the table where the files should be kept. You only watched her, admiring the way she can move so smoothly without making a single sound, like a ghost. You were considered a good assassin as well, but every time you saw her, you felt like you're nothing. Compared to her, every move of yours was as loud as a bomb thrown on a building, making it fall into milion pieces. Just like the hope that she'll ever return your feelings. Every your move was too late and every hit you made to your enemy was slower and weaker than hers. You admired the way she can be so strong and mysterious, yet still she kept the soft side of hers alive as well.

,,(Y/N), are you alright?" She asked as the two of you were sitting in a car on your way back to port Mafia's headquarters. ,,Yeah. Thanks for saving me once again." You tried to sound naturally, you tried not to make your feelings visible in the way you acted and talked. ,,You have been acting weird lately, did something happen?"

And now, what should you say? You can't just say that you fell in love with her. No. But making up some lie didn't seem as a good solution as well.

,,It's nothing." You said, trying to sound careless, looking everywhere but in her eyes, yet you felt like your face was heating up just at the thought of her caring about you.

,,You're lying." She said as the car stopped. ,,I mean... if you don't trust me, just say it and don't pretend it's nothing. I understand." She said with a very quiet voice, which sounded pretty sad to you and made you feel guilty for no reason.

,,If somebody here doesn't trust the other, it's you. I said it's nothing so  stop acting dumb." You were so nervous. You felt like you're too close to her revealing your feelings. Way too close and every single mistake, every wrong move or word can break this thin border and destroy everything.
