You wanted to go and confess to her, just as you promised you will. But for few days you didn't even have a chance to see her. And then the days when you did, you noticed her acting much more distant. She didn't even talk to you much when it wasn't necessary.

Yes, it would be the best to just go and talk it out, but being in fear, thinking that she's mad at you and doesn't want to be your friend anymore, despite what her brother said, you did nothing.

Like this weeks passed. But after some time you got assigned a mission, you and Gin. Just the two of you. It wasn't supposed to be anything that hard, you were just supposed to meet some guys that should give you some money they owed to the mafia.

You checked your phone and saw a message from Gin.

I have some business to take care of before the mission so we meet there, don't wait for me in front of HQ building.

You usually drive or go to the missions together, but not this this time. You started wondering if she really had something to do or just didn't want to spend unnecessary time with you in your car, as if she was avoiding you. Just the thought of it was oh so painful.

~~~
In five minutes you were supposed to meet with Gin. You were sitting in a car, driving to the location where you were supposed to meet those guys, which was in a part of Yokohama that you didn't know too well, so you used some maps on your phone. The closer you were getting to the location, the more suspicious it all was, even the whole place was weird, almost as if it was deserted. There were only very few people around and the buildings were old, it didn't look like anyone lives in these.
You stopped and looked around, taking a look on a map. You walked around for a while and then found it. The building you were supposed to meet in was.. kinda strange. It was completely detached from all the other buildings there and it looked much newer, but not in a good way. It was surrounded by a grass that wasn't taken care of in years, or at least you thought so and the windows on the ground floor were secured by iron bars.
"Hey.. (Y/N)." You heard her voice.
"Gin.. " you looked at her. "Something about this place seems off"
She only nodded. "Like we have a choice.. let's go."
She wasn't much talkative today. You wanted to wait for the right opportunity to explain what happened and confess your feelings, but at this point it wasn't your number one priority since you had a work to do.
You rang a doorbell.. nothing. You waited for a few seconds, then tried again. You heard a buzzing sound and the door unlocked. You slowly opened it, but there was nobody waiting for you. You looked at Gin and she nodded her head.
You walked into that building, Gin right behind you. There was no one. "Hey? Is someone here?"
No response. You were a bit confused. There was a door open in the hallway, you entered it. This really was weird, both of you knew it, but you couldn't just come back and tell Mori something like "we didn't meet these guys because something about the place seemed off"
The room seemed empty and you started looking around, but then suddenly you felt like someone wrapped their arms around you from behind and held a knife to your throat. "Fuck.. I knew it"
The person who attacked you probably didn't seem to expect you to react that quickly since it wasn't a problem for you to shake him off and push him to the ground. "Good try dumbass.. do you have the money?"
"Not like we give you anything" he held your leg and probably tried to move it so you fall, but you were faster and kicked him back to the ground, stepping on his chest.
