Dear future daughter,

Daughter, I want you to know that I will love you, care for you and do anything for you within reason. (Don’t tell your father –whoever he will be- but I’d probably bail you out of jail if needed be.)

Daughter of mine ‘we’ don’t know who you’ll be, but ‘we’ know that you’ll be amazing in our eyes. I cannot help but to imagine what ‘we’ your father and I will name you. But I can imagine that it will be a beautiful name for a beautiful baby girl.

At times you will be embarrassed for having us, or me, as a parent. But darling I can promise you I do it because I love you, and it will be fun watching your face go red. And the embarrassment will probably only get worse when you’re old enough to bring guys home. (I will expect that age to be around 16 darling).

I really don’t know what to add onto your letter, but I know with time I’ll know exactly what to write about. But for now I’d like you to know that the parents who aren’t yours at the moment because either we’re both still too young to become parents, or we haven’t meet yet. I want you to know either way that we love you so very much and cannot wait for the year when we will be blessed with our baby girl.

Love,

Your future mother
