Well 2020 hasn't exactly been the year we all dreamed of, has it?

The year that started off as a joke, "Hey let's hope the year 2020 is the year we're all blessed with 20/20 vision!" But now the year itself is mocking us. Maybe it's lesson to be learnt, or perhaps it's just a year of unfortunate dealings, the 'wrong hand,' as those who are card gamer' would say.

I started the year off with new hope, saw it in with my family and people who are close to us, I started it surrounded by my niece and nephew, it was beautiful. It was to be a year of change, adventure and fun but as most it took a turn south pretty quickly.

My country was on fire, burning out of control, the world was hurting with us. An illness took off overseas raining heartbreak on many as the world watched on in horror, we as a world were bleeding, we were and still are in pain from the events taken at the start of the new year.

Time is a funny thing really, is it not? It's something that keeps of moving in a literal sense but through the eyes of us all time hasn't moved at all, were all stuck somewhere possibly doing the same thing as we were 2.5 months ago which is hopefully and sadly: not much. In all honesty I *personally* thing the year 2020 is moving forward but the human population has been put on pause, were all waiting for the worst to be over so we can start to rebuild ourselves as a society. The months have kept moving, but we've stayed still, all trying to come to terms, to find ways to manage and cope with the new restrictions, laws and changes. Life has changed in the last few months, drastically but we are still here, moving on slowly? Yes but we are moving on, trying to rehabilitate ourselves, our communities and our planet; Earth.

Do you find it fascinating whilst most of civilisation has been put on "pause" the world has slowly been healing itself. Waters are becoming cleaner and clear, animals are returning to area's that now would be new territory for them, we're able to see more of earths atmosphere from space due to the less pollution being spread into our universe. The world is healing from our damage whilst we - the humans- are hurting, but that's the thing the universe cannot undo an ungodly amount of hurt and damage in such a short amount of time... aah, did you hear it? There's that funny word again: Time. It appears once more, what does it mean? Does it need something? Or is it here to remind us that everything takes time to heal? I think the latter.

Time is something that it will take for us ALL  to come to terms with the year 2020, it'll take us time to recover, rebuild and to get back to some normalcy. A broken bone cannot be healed within 24 hours, it takes time, hair won't grow to be the length that you desire overnight, no matter what you do to 'help,' it too takes time to happen. Time has a funny way of showing us this, but we WILL  get through this, not today or tomorrow or next month, but in the future which is an uncertain time, nothing is set in stone.

Take a moment and think about everything that you were meant to do in the year of 2020, think long and hard if you need too but don't get upset about not being able to do what you had planned... Instead think about rescheduling it for a few years time, think about how much better it could be, think about how amazing it will feel doing it/getting there, how much gratification it'll bring you knowing that the world went through so much, but now were in a moment of time better than what we were a year or two ago. Get a pen and paper, and list what you want to happen, create a timeline, a deadline even but remember them sort of things can change, so allow for things to be adjustable. Life can be unpredictable but that's what makes it interesting.

Alas, 2020 I will be staying awake on December 31st to ensure I see you out and that '0' turns to a '1' on Midnight on the dot. You've been one hell of an 8 month journey that I can safely say for everyone, 'No one asked for you to do this.' I cannot wait to personally send you off with a swift kick where the sun doesn't shine and no "goodbye's" to follow, because you deserve it.

It also seems appropriate to say this as a final bid to good-nights/good-days. How are you? How are your friends and loved ones? Have you spoken to them lately? If not, give them a call I'm sure they'd love to hear from you. Please know, that I'd love to hear from you too, if you need to talk to someone, sometimes a literal stranger is the best thing. My inbox is open, I won't judge, I won't try and say what should and should not be done. I'll be that shoulder for you to rest your head on, I'll be the ears (and eyes) to listen and when asked I can *try* to offer some words of wisdom or encouragement as it is OKAY  to ask for help, to express your feelings and concerns, people adore and love you, they need you and you need them.

I adore you, whomever is reading this or needs to hear it.

I love you, I adore you, you are loved, wanted and needed.

Kindest and warmest affections.
