Hello potentially awkward but loveable future me, how are you doing today? It better be good or else ask yourself, 'What are you doing with your life for it not to be?'

I am your 17 year old, young, idiot, annoying self who felt the need to leave you a little something on this site that will still (hopefully) be very popular in whatever year it is that you read this. I just want you to know some valuable life lessons I've learnt that one day could be passed onto a child, grandchild or someone who isn't you reading this.

1. Love yourself. Don't listen to people who don't love you, for you. If they want to change something about you, leave the or at least ask yourself "are they really my friend?" I want you to be happy, not down and questioning everything.

2. Your ATAR score didn't matter. It still doesn't even at whatever age you are now. The stress of high-school and UNI wasn't worth it. But you now do something that you love. And that's worth it right?

3. Don't think all them people who abandoned you in the past did it for a reason. It's in the past for a reason and it can stay there. Although, don't be so quick to judge them as I know you've done some questionable things too.

I have a few questions I'd like to ask you, future me... Did you go into teaching? I hope so it was always a passion of ours! Is your favourite actor still Leonardo DiCaprio? If so, I think I know why, his too cute not to like. Hows my nephew? Do I have anymore nephew or nieces? If so do you read to them? Is my oldest nephew a bookworm like you hoped? What is he like? Did you remember them important dates of remembrance? June 13th, April 25th, September 11th, and all the others. Do you stop to think about them? Whats your now favourite genre of music? Is it still the same? Have you crossed anything off of your bucket-list? And in general, are you happy? Are you loving life, family, friends, yourself, someone else perhaps?

Dear future me, I want you to know that I am so proud of you. As a young teenager you've accomplished so much, been through heaps of tragedies and hard times, had your heart broken and mended. I am so proud of you and your life. I hope everything that once aspires you will continue to aspire, inspire and encourage you. Just remember future me, I love you, your family loves you, your friends love you and the society can handle you.

Much love,
Your past self.
