I heard the front door open and Jayla came in.

"Heyy Fiyya" she said putting her keys in the basket.

"Where have you been" I said looking at the time and saw it was 11 o'clock at night.

"Well I was on the way to pick you up and there was traffic and my phone died so I couldn't tell you, then I get to Mak's house and he says you left already"

"Yeah I got impatient and I wanted to leave Mak to rest" I replied and she sat next to me.

"Well then Mak said I could stay and charge my phone then I spoke to him about how he's feeling and he vented to me, I felt like I owed him because of the Kam thing"

"Well did it help" I said sitting up and looking at her.

"Well he cried a little but when I left he was sleeping, which is good right"

"It's perfect, thank you so much" I said hugging her "that took a big weight off my shoulders" I added and refilled my glass of wine.

"But I also saw Adrian leave on my way up"

"Yeah Mak sent him to help put up the baby bed" I said turning to the tv.

"Oh, soo are you two good now" she asked.

"We've always been good" I replied.

"Not since you blocked him"

"Well yes I guess we're cool now"

"Are you sure nothing else happened" she asked looking at me.

"Nope nothing" I lied.

2 weeks later

I was chilling in my room watching movies when Jayla came in and sat on my bed.

"What's up sis" I said passing her my bowl of popcorn and she took a handful out.

"Sooo I was thinking and you know Adrian's birthday is coming up and I think we should do something for him" she said looking at me to see my reaction.

"Ummm nah I'm cool" I replied.

"I thought you guys were cool now" she said.

"We are but that's weird if I do that cause I'm with Remi now"

"I just think it would be nice, remember when we would all chill and we were all friends before y'all started fucking" she said and started laughing.

"What about it" I said rolling my eyes.

"I miss that, of course I still love chilling with you but we was still friends with him I think we owe that to him"

"Whatever"

"Come on just I lil get together, or a movie night or something, we can invite Mak and Armani and I'm sure he'll be cool if Remi came as well"
