she woke up shivering.
her whole body felt like an icicle. Vyn hadn't bothered to leave her a blanket or even a sweater. just the thin clothes she was wearing the day before.
day before? she didn't know how much time had passed now. she had no windows, so there was no way to know if it was night or day.
her head hurt from her crying, she spent a better part of the night calling out for help. they had to be in his house, which meant there were people nearby right?
its not like Artem wouldn't come by to see where she was after last night. so he had to be coming soon right? especially if she didn't text him back. or if she sounded weird over text. he was always so worried about her.
she moved around a little. ignoring the pain and stiffness in her muscles and sitting up.
her hands were bound behind her back, her ankle was attached to a heating pipe, the chains looked new, and well made. it would take a lot of time to bend and break them. then she could get out of this hell hole.
she let out a pitiful sob. how had it come to this? was he always this way and she had never seen it? he couldn't have been. she would've noticed. but in the back of her Y/ns mind she was doubting herself. could she really have noticed? he had been so charming and sweet to her, she fell for him almost immediately. from the first time he invited her to his house for dinner. in fact, the moment he stepped into the office her heart was set on him.
and it still was.
it pained her to think about it, but she still wanted him to come down here and hold her. tell her he was sorry and overreacting. she would forgive him. she felt like she needed him.
it made her sick. how could she love someone who could kill her friend? how could she love someone who left her in a dank cold and dark basement to rot?
her breathing became short and quick, tears rolled down her face as she hiccuped for air. why did she still love him? of all the fucked up and horrible things to happen to her, this was the most heartbreaking one.
she leaned down, not caring about the pain in her stomach and chest. she sobbed quietly, trying to not to make a sound in case he would be upset.
granted she spent most of the night screaming for help, if anything a little crying wouldn't phase him.
she had almost calmed down, when light filtered into the room.
she cracked her eyes open, and saw a pair of stairs across the room. soft footsteps trailed down, and a pair of long legs appeared, followed by a well-built chest, and then Vyn.
when he saw Y/n was awake his gaze softened. her eyes were puffy and red, her lips had small cuts on them from biting them, the cut on her head was visible, the bandage having fallen off in the middle of the night. her hair was a mess, her clothes were stained.
and worst of all, she looked afraid.
he could stand her anger, her sadness, but he couldn't stand to see her trembling with fear when he got close.
"i brought you something to eat bunny." he said gently.
guilt flooded his chest. he was the cause of this. he was the reason why she was so upset. he lost control, and he lashed out and hurt her. and now he needed to pay the price for it.
"n-not hungry." she said quietly.
he got within a foot of her, and sat down. she flinched at the sound of the metal tray hitting the ground. a movement that made him despair.
