Kyoutani and Yahaba stopped at a Raman stand and started to walk to Yahaba’s house.

“Tell me about this not-boyfriend,” Kyoutani said, making small talk. Yahaba finished his bite.

“Eiji… uh? We met in college. I had some marching band friends, and he was on the football team. I would sit on the bleachers waiting for them to finish, and he would often come to talk to me. From the beginning of the ‘relationship’, it was not serious whatsoever. It’s always been an on-and-off one. Well… I’ve never liked him. I just thought he was hot. We were kind of popular because we looked good together. After college, we didn’t talk forever. Then I got a call from him one-day andddd… here we are,” Yahaba said. Kyoutani nodded.

“Sounds like a waste,” Kyoutani said. Yahaba scoffed.

“Tell me about it, but that’s what I wanted to do… he has a girlfriend,” Yahaba admitted. Kyoutani choked on his ramen.

“Yahaba…” Kyoutani said. Yahaba knew he needed this lecture.

“I know…” Yahaba said, quietly.

“Does she know?” Kyoutani asked, anger in his voice. Yahaba shook his head. “That’s wrong. You know that.” Yahaba nodded. “Look at me.” Kyoutani stopped in front of Yahaba. Yahaba looked up from the cup of ramen.

“I-I know what I did was wrong,” Yahaba said, tears in his eyes.

“I know you know,” Kyoutani said. “But why? There are more guys in the world.” Yahaba couldn't answer other than sex, so he was quiet. Kyoutani just waited and waited.

“I don’t know,” Yahaba lied like he forgot that Kyoutani knows when he lies.

“You aren’t going to give me an answer?” Kyoutani asked. Yahaba shook his head. Kyoutani sighed. “What if someone cheated on you?” Yahaba teared up. He hated being talked down to. Kyoutani- on the other hand- hated seeing Yahaba cry. He sighed, hugging Yahaba. Yahaba cried in Kyoutani’s chest.

“I – he- she- they,” Yahaba stuttered. Kyoutani rubbed his free hand on Yahaba’s back.

“Shhhh… breathe,” Kyoutani said, softly.

“Kyoutaniiii,” Yahaba quietly whined. “I fucked up.”

“You sure did.”

“*make his voice lower to imitate Kyoutani* Everyone makes mistakes. *Normal voice* thank you, Kyoutani-kun,” Yahaba said causing them both to laugh. Kyoutani let go.

“Better?” Kyoutani asked. Yahaba nodded. They continued to walk, Yahaba leading the way.

“It’s over there.” Yahaba pointed at a small house with a simple garden in the front. Kyoutani- for some odd reason- didn’t expect Yahaba to have a house. Yahaba came from a wealthy family. His parents bought the house for him last year. Yahaba and Kyoutani walked up the light cobblestone walkway to the cute white door with a colorful stained glass window that reflected rainbows everywhere. Yahaba opened the door with his key. When he opened the door, he invited Kyoutani in. Kyoutani took off his shoes and stepped in. The house was more princess than he imagined. It was a small two-story, but the upstairs was only a small part of the house, so there were high ceilings. It was an open concept, so it seemed bigger. In the walkway was a chandelier. Yahaba loves chandeliers. The walls were white with a fancy crown molding. The kitchen was very simple and homey. The windows had silk curtains that were a matching blue as the couch, but the couches had white flower designs. Since the house was small and there was only a six-person table- which seemed kind of lonely to eat at and a small living room table, but it had a matching rug to the couches, so Yahaba wouldn’t dare to eat there. Yahaba would usually eat at the kitchen bar that held flowers. It’s a sparkly white and a hue of blue as the countertop. That is we’re Yahaba and Kyoutani sat down on the swivel chairs that were made in the ground.
