I look out the windows seeing Grey standing out in the rain that pours down onto us, My heart skips when he opens the car door before I can. Quickly stepping out I start to run for it.

God, I hope these heels don't fail me.

Grey mere inches away from me. I giggled like a child while running. My hair is sticking to my wet skin and my heart is pumping with excitement. That little moment reminds me of the times I always ran out of my fathers house and laid on the grass while rain poured down on me.

Ryan used to shout after me telling me I'll get sick and to come inside. I always teased him by sticking my tongue out and shaking my head while running around and dancing, but soon enough Ryan chased me down until we both slipped and fell onto the wet grass laughing our asses off.

I laugh out loud and throw my head back feeling the rain droplets chatter against my skin. I felt free.

Spinning on my heels. I face Grey, "Wasn't that fun?" He rolled his eyes and tried to hide the grin on his beautiful lips, I knew he enjoyed it as much as I did. "The rain is falling, let's get inside before I have to take care of you like a baby. Don't need another repeat of Drunk Veronica." But his attitude isn't.

I roll my eyes, shaking my head left to right then turning around to get inside. I flinch when something touches my skin. I look over my shoulder.

His suit jacket around me. "Aren't you cold?" I question tugging at the jacket. He looks me in the eyes and shakes his head before reaching up and opening the doors to the restaurant for me. I can smell the minted- forest in his jacket, A blush crawls on my cheeks when I hug it closer.

I wasn't cold, I just wanted to feel comfort in being held. I glance at one of the workers and nod when she waves. Holding the jacket closer I walked to a free booth at the far back. Taking a seat as I leaned into the red leather. I look down to my palms on my lap.

Someone clears their throat and I look up, a waiter. "Hi, How may I help you?" I'm ready to answer that question, but my mouth goes gape when a low raspy voice says.

"Meat lovers, pizza, small." Grey taps his finger onto the table catching my full attention. "And the drinks?" Grey bobs his head for a moment then answers. "Glass Corona and red wine." I chew my lip when he already knows what I'd want. I give a small nod to the waiter as he writes the orders down then stacks away after taking up the menu slips.

"Why did you bring me here?" I frown looking back to the front of me finally coming to my senses. He wouldn't just bring his boss to a restaurant to eat pizza. "Can't we just eat pizza?" He folds his arms and leans back into the red leather chair, mischief and curiosity swimming deeply in his eyes. "You don't just carry your boss out for pizza, so why don't you tell me why you brought me here."

It was a demand, but of course he chuckles and watches me with amusement in his eyes. "Grey." He straightens up and leans up.

"You flinch ever time someone touches you, You come up with stupid excuses for you bruises. You have been in more pain than a normal person would be in-" He stopped realizing how rough his voice came out. It's almost as if he is snaring at me.
