Dead eyes.

Dead, empty eyes stared at kazutora through the thin glass that seperated the two. "Kazu..." Only person who called him that, y/n. She was sitting across from him, the atmosphere so thick you can cut it with a knife.

He panicked from the sudden visit from her. According to the others, she hadn't come out of her apartment since baji died. Kazutora gulped as she only stared at his shaking figure.

"Hey, kazu.. Sorry i couldn't visit you." Her voice was soft, quite opposite of her appearance. Her voice sounded as if it was the first time she has talked in months. Kazutora wanted to cry, she still came to visit him despite knowing everything he has done to her.

He couldn't forgive himself, because of what he's done, she's become more lost than she was when her father was still around. He's done the one thing fuyuko constantly told all of them not to do.

"Don't hurt her."

Those words still echoed through his head, he should've listened to fuyuko. He should've done everything fuyuko said. Fuyuko was always right. His lips quivered as he looked at what he has done.

Y/n, dark circles under her void eyes, her body was getting thinnier as well. Bandages soaked with blood, lips sealed in the tightest line. Hair incredibly messy, she looked pale too, as if she was going to pass out. He was getting dizzy thinking about all this.

"Y/n.. i'm so-" Kazutora couldn't even begin his apology because the next thing y/n said, led tears running done his face. "I'm sorry, kazu." He didn't even know why he was crying. Why that sentence made him shed tears.

Maybe, it was because she had no reason to apologize. Or maybe it was because that was the last thing fuyuko said to him. Fuyuko was like the mother figure he wanted and katashi was like the father figure as well.

When the both went to juvie to bail the kid out after they found out killing shinichiro was an accident, kazutora had refused which caused a big argument between the kid and the two childish adults.

Fuyuko saying how it was stupid to waste his childhood locked up while katashi just didn't like the idea of losing another one of his "family members." As for kazutora, he didn't want them nor y/n to be involved with him anymore. He would push them away.

He didn't want them to get in dangerous situations and end up dead because of him. And so, he gave up everything and his only plan was to kill mikey. Till this day, he isnt stable without the two eldest shi siblings, that he drove to killing themselves.

"Sorry for not being there when you needed me, sorry for not stopping you, sorry for not helping you get away from that family. Sorry for everything i did wrong as a friend.." She stood and bent over half way for a bow.

More tears broke through his eyes, confusion written on his face. "Don't apologize, please..." He felt so pathetic, why was she apologizing for nothing? She had absolutely nothing to apologize for. "It was my fault, i should be the one to apologize.. Please just stop.."
