Y/n walked in her apartment, not bothering to take off her shoes. She carefully placed the bruised chifuyu on her couch. Going towards the bathroom to grab some supplies to clean his wounds.

Chifuyu groaned, feeling a sting from his cheek and cold liquid patted on his face. The smell of rubbing alcohol lingered in the air. He slowly opened one of his eyes since the other was bruised. He looked around at the familiar living room.

"Y/n?" He muttered out, weak from all the punches he received. He didn't get a response but he knew it was y/n that was treating his wounds. He winced as she cleaned the last cut on his body and placed the final bandages.

Y/n stood up, patting his chest as a way of telling him to stay layed down. It's not like he had a choice anyways, he couldn't feel his face. She picked up all the supplies from the first aid kit, walking away to put them back in her bathroom.

Her bangs covered her eyes, things becoming worse after baji left toman. She sat on the couch and rested chifuyu's head on her lap. Y/n ran her fingers through his dyed blond locks. "Fuyu." She mumbled the nickname she gave him, almost inaudible.

Chifuyu hummed from his name, relaxing at her touch. "You let him do that on purpose. Do you think... he's a spy.." Chifuyu opened his eye that wasnt bandaged and looked at her with a comforting expression.

"I let him do that, yes. That's because baji wants to destroy kisaki, not toman."

He felt her hug his head, closing his eyes and sighing at the warm feeling. "I thought so... but what if something goes wrong with his plan." He frowned as he felt her grip slightly tighten around his head. "Fuyu... what if... i lose baji too.."

He opened his eye to see y/n's eyes boring down into his. She couldn't even shed tears anymore, her body was too tired for this, her mind had too much on it. She was back to square one, lifeless, dull, blank, gone.

"She's lost it." He thought, sitting up quickly and embracing her in his arms. She's gone back to her old self, where she couldn't even shed tears. The old self when her father was still alive.

When her father beat the emotions out of her until she couldn't shed a single tear, bruises that scattered her body, blood that always flowed out with ease. She looked empty, lost from life. She always was, but atleast she got to cry before.

"I'll do anything i can to help baji. I won't let him die." He knew about y/n's past from baji, he knew what she went through. And it makes him sick at what her father did to her. He felt disgusted and wanted to throw up after what she's been through.

So, it was also his job to watch over her. To make sure she wouldn't go off the deep end. And his responsibility right now was to make sure baji or anyone else that's important to her doesn't die, including himself.
