"The truth is this, every monster you have met or will ever meet, was once a human being, with a soul that was soft and light like silk. Someone stole the silk from their soul and turned them into this. So when you see a monster next, do not fear the thing before you, fear the thing that created it."

Talon understood her role in the world.
Obey the Court or they will send a Talon for her head.
It says it all in the nursery rhyme.Beware the Court of Owls,
That watches all the time,
Ruling Gotham from a shadowed purch,
Behind granite and lime.
They watched you in your hearth,
They watch you in your bed.
Speak not a whispered word of them,
Or they'll send a Talon for your head. The kids of Gotham say it to scare younger children but Talon knows it is far more than a nursery rhyme.
Talon remembers a time before the Court, the smell of freshly baked bread, the feeling of flying in the air, the colour red, and a young girl with midnight hair and a smile that could bind the sun.
Talon continues to remember these aspects of her life before the Court, no matter how many times they freeze her. But many other things have become a blurr, all smearing together, nothing clear.Talon does remember that she does still fly, but it's not the same as before. Everytime she went outside it was to save others but now all she does is bring death. A part of Talon knows it is wrong, but she can't seem to find the strength to fight back. But maybe it's not her that is the problem.
Talon must serve the Court.
Talon must obey.
Talon can not speak unless spoken too.
Talon can not die.
Talon is a weapon.
Talon only has one purpose. The Court of Owls.
Talon remembers when she first came to the Court. She was put in a Labyrinth, white walls towered over her. Her throat ached from dehydration. But she continued around the maze. She could hear echoes of others in her ears but the sound was muffled and fuzzy, but that did not tint her will to escape. But then she started having hallucinations of others, first it was her parents and friends, then it turned into the akumatized villains she managed to save as Ladybug, the red heroine of Paris. She found her way to the middle of the maze where a majestic owl sat and underneath it was a small pond of water. She would have done anything to drink the water but she knew better than to drink the more than likely drugged water. She continued to wander, she had no conception of time. She could have been in there for hours, days, weeks or possibly months. Time blurred together but unlike the voices, they grew clearer. 'Give up,' They said. 'You are a Talon,' They said. 'Serve the Court,' They said. At first she did not listen to the voices but as time went on she began to grow desperate, so when made it back to the centre of the maze where the owl was she gave in. At first she thought the owl was majestic but now it looked judgmentle. 'You are ours to control,' They said. She had collapsed in front of the pond about to drink it but then she stopped. Her sanity was fighting back control for her body. She passed out but after some time she regained consciousness. She saw no end to her pain so she thought to end it, all of it. She searched her person for anything only finding a mere bobby pin. She had scraped it on the tiles until it became a sharp point at the end. She had stabbed herself constantly, but death did not come, only pain. After what was weeks later she drank the water, giving into her pleasures.
When she awoke she had been experimented on, she was no longer human. Humans could die and she could not. Humans could feel and she could not. Humans were people and she was not, she was a weapon. A weapon meant to serve the Court.
Talon had killed many, so many. But she couldn't stop and that led her to be one of the most efficient and skilled Talons besides Cobb and The Gray Son.
