"Jack's coming over here," Mia pointed out. Matt slinked his arms around my waist tighter as Jack got closer.
"Hey Mia," he greeted leaning down and placing a kiss on her cheek. I could feel fiery burning hate creeping up inside me, why did he do that? What did he gain from doing that?
"Hey Curly Fry," Jack said leaning down. I put my hand on his chest and pushed him back.
"This is my boyfriend," I said. Jackman stuck his hand out to shake Matt's, but Matt just looked at it as if it were a foreign object.
"Matt," he said introducing himself.
"A man of many words huh?" Jack said trying to lighten up the mood. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Matt."
"Wish I could say the same about you," Matt said under his breath.
"What was that?" Jack asked furrowing his eyebrows.
"Alright! Jackie boy, do you wanna dance?" Mia said getting up. "Come on!" She grabbed his arm pulling him to the dance floor.
I turned my attention to my slick mouthed boyfriend because what the fuck was that?
"I told you to behave Matthew."
"I was. He's the one that took it the wrong way," Matt shrugged. "I'd say I've been on my best behavior all night, I even went around and talked to people our first hour here."
"You're partially right. You wanna get outta here?" Matt nodded happily. I stood up taking his hand and leading him through the crowd trying not to watch Mia and Jack dance together.
"Don't you wanna say bye to Mimi?" Matt asked looking back.
"Nah, it's fine I'll just text her," I replied.
