ATSUMU GROANED THE MOMENT HE AWOKE FROM HIS SLUMBER IN YOUR GUEST ROOM. Shoyo, his boyfriend, was already awake making breakfast for the two. The fake blonde walked out with a shirt that belonged to his brother, yawning and scratching the back of his head before continuing his way out into the kitchen.

"Good morning Atsumu!" exclaimed a cheerful voice, one that he had always enjoyed waking up to. With his lips curving into a small grin, he responds with a gentle reply.

"Mornin' Sho, what's for breakfast?" Shoyo was never that skilled at cooking until Osamu, Atsumu's twin had taught him how to. Ever since, he's been quite passionate about making their meals and lunches when going out for practice. Atsumu can tell that his short partner genuinely enjoys it, and that's enough for him to cancel take out.

Shoyo fills his pan with batter, creating a small circle before responding. "We're having pancakes! Isn't that great? I was wondering if you wanted to go out for a walk too, in case your hung over was that bad."

Ah yes, that's right. Atsumu had gotten drunk at a party the two had attended together. Last night was pretty much a blur to him, he can't recall any memories.

"Oh, did you water Y/n's plants?" Shoyo asked before flipping the pancake to the other side. "Y/n will be upset if you don't, Suna gifted those to her after all. Kita and Aran had pitched in too."

"I had watered them yesterday, it should be fine." he yawned, grabbing a seat in the small dining room. His cousin's apartment wasn't as small, that's for sure. He's surprised you were able to afford a good enough apartment for yourself, yet you're struggling with your tuition. He sighs to himself, it's foolish at the lengths you'll go to to save your education.

"I should've left you at the dumpster." Shoyo groaned, his eyes quickly glancing towards the plants before returning to the pan. "Why don't you ask how Y/n's doing? You spammed her a lot last night."

Atsumu's eye were bloodshot, pausing in his place for opening his mouth to speak. "I texted her last night? What the hell? And you didn't stop me?" Atsumu's tone began to rise in panic and unease before his boyfriend slaps his back.

"You don't listen to me whether you're sober, or drunk. It's not worth trying."

Atsumu rolled his eyes. "Excuses I say, excuses!" He pulls out his phone with hesitation, his finger hovering above your name. You hadn't opened it yet apparently, so he technically had time to save.

"You know," Shoyo says, cutting off the boy's inner thoughts. "Whatever happened between you and Y/n feels like it's been blown out of proportion. I mean.. is it really something to be dragged on for so long?"

Shoyo doesn't get it, how could he? It's not like their situation is so torn up that it can't be stitched. Nor is it something either of you two are able to move on from, or even admit your wrong doings. Atsumu is aware he hurt you— yet after each apology that's said you gave up on even believing he was genuinely sorry. Repeated mistakes, repeated actions, repeated words.. The two of you are family yes, but simple apologies aren't enough anymore. What's the point if your actions say otherwise? Despite being aware, Atsumu is still holding grudges at you too, but for what reason?

Whatever it is, the two of you have tried to be 'normal' with each other with unsolved issues. Osamu on the other hand? He also tries to avoid the whole situation all together as if it never even existed. As if the three of you had just gotten a little distant.

"I don't even know anymore Sho." Atsumu yawns. He returns to lying his head down on the table, his head still aching from all the alcohol and karaoke from the night before. "I don't really like talking about it either. It brings up bad memories."
