THE DAY WASN'T OVER JUST YET. Kenma had just finished cooking dinner down in the kitchen, and not just for himself, but for Y/n too.

"Enjoy," he says, sliding the plate of food towards Y/n. "Once your done just put them in the sink, I can wash the dishes later then."

Y/n rose an eyebrow, a sad frown forming on her lips. "You're not eating dinner with me?"

"If you want me too then I guess I will," he shrugged, pulling out the seat next to her. Y/n smiled to herself, she didn't expect this to happen when she signed up for a sugar daddy. Should she even consider him as a real one? Right now they just seem like a couple of friends just chilling out, what would have happened if she didn't chose Kenma?

"Kenma-San, Shoyo called me earlier. I didn't know you were friends with him."

"I didn't know you were his boyfriend's cousin,"

"Good point,"

Munching on her food, Y/n suddenly hears her phone ringing with her favorite song going off. Picking up her phone from the table, she groans to herself as she sees the caller's name.

"What is it?" Kenma asked, noticing her frustration. "Is it that cousin of yours?"

"It's my bratty little sister," she answers with a sigh. Swiping accept, she brings the phone up to her ear and suddenly hears crying.

CURRENTLY ON CALL WITH - HANA
0:00

Y/n
"What the heck!? Hana, why are you crying?"

Hana
"I JUST GOT SCAMMED ON ADOPT ME! SOMEONE STOLE MY FROST DRAGON!"

[ true story, it was a Saturday and I was sleeping soundly until my sister woke me up by crying next to me loudly ]

Y/n
"Well why are you crying about it to me? I'm at my friends house at the moment Hana, go cry to mom about it!"

Hana
"SHE DIDNT DO ANYTHING BUT LAUGH AT ME! I NEED YOU TO REPORT HER ON ROBLOX FOR ME I NEED MY FROST DRAGON BACK NOW!"

Y/n
"I CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THAT YOU'RE NINE FOR GODS SAKE DO IT YOURSELF!"

Hana
"BUT I CANT!"

Y/n
"ITS JUST A GAME DID YOU EVEN GET HER USERNAME??"

Hana stayed quiet.

Hana
"No."

BEEEEP

Y/n sighed again with annoyance written all over her face. Shutting off her phone, she returns back to her meal leaving Kenma in quite a shock. She quickly takes notices of this of course, she found it weird whenever people stared at her when she ate. "What is it? Is there something on my face?"

Kenma shook his head. "No, just thought you were nice than that."

"Nothing nice happens when siblings bicker with each other,"

"I wouldn't know, I'm an only child." Kenma says with his chin resting on his hand. "It's nice though, isn't it? And you also have Atsumu and the other one as your cousins. You're never lonely."

"Never lonely?" Y/n can't help but laugh at Kenma's assumption. She sets her food aside before crossing her arms. "I've been living in the same apartment for three years alone. I don't have many friends, and well I'm not as close with the Miya twins at all anymore. I don't even have time to see my family with my studies going on, Atsumu doesn't even act like we're family. And Osamu is always busy with his restaurant nowadays that I don't want to bother him. So it's very bold of you to assume I haven't been lonely before you popped up."

Kenma's lips curve into a small smile as she finished her small ramble. "You could've just said that you were lonely instead of an explanation, but then again I doubt I would've believed that."

"I know," she grinned cheekily. "So why are you lonely pudding-kun? That's something I'd like to know."

"My friends are just all too busy," he says, making sure not to dive in too deep. "And so are my parents. So it's always just been me and my cat, people come but they always leave. It's not like I expected them to stay though, that's just how things work. Getting attached to people is a waste of time along with heartbreak, don't you think?"

"I guess so," she hums nodding. "But it's fine if you get attached to me, I won't leave. If you're really lonely then let's be lonely together." She gives him a warm, soft smile before reaching out for his hand. She didn't know how she suddenly got the confidence to hold his hand, but she felt like it was the right thing to do. She wanted to do it, and not out of pity.

When her warm touch makes contact with Kenma, he can't help but let out a small gasp when his eyes slowly land on her shining figure. Kenma had always believed that Hinata would be the only sun in his life while everyone else was just a small star. No hate towards Kuroo though. But maybe he was wrong, maybe Hinata wasn't the only sun out there. She shined too just like Hinata, perhaps even brighter? Kenma wasn't so sure.

But getting attached to her didn't seem so bad.
