In front of mirror
She looked like a warrior
But was decorated
Like she never didOver her dress
A lot changed
Her two piece childish dresses
Turned to a long piece green sareeHer mother couldn't speak anything
One by one piercings changed
Garlands brought beauty to everything
Jewellery to jewellery, Shining changedOver and over
Long to short necklace
"Amma! Tell him not to"
"As he is your brother you are supposed to"Palms and toes so red
Finger nails so bright
As bright as her bangles
Jhum jhum making its soundOne step second step
that saree made it setup-step
Above plait on plate
One over her saree
One below his coffeeHer hair braided
Jasmine and rose braided
Eyes so low
That vibrant bindi over her fate"Smile with your lips close
Don't speak,nod and close
Your Husband is short-tempered
Be careful while you talk"Her mother made herself careful
Her daughter was prepared precisely
What is the use?
When she is forced kneel before his throneHer mission was simple
But she has to use her dimple
Ask her brother
And get out of here without any botherShe gave him coffee
They changed their plates
Full of saree and garlands
He put one garland on her
Both were engaged.
