I cry the whole ride back to the hotel.

I cry as Caitlin insists on paying the driver again and leads me through the lobby. I cry leaning against the walls of the elevator, burying my teary face against Caitlin's shoulder. I cry down the hallway, through the door, onto my bed, into my pillow. And I cry for ten more minutes as Caitlin tries anxiously to extract an explanation from me.

"I still don't know why they didn't believe you," she says softly once I lift up my head. Mascara and tears stain the pillowcase and strands of my hair stick to my blotchy face. I look exactly how I feel on the inside.

"Didn't you tell them where you were?" Caitlin asks, rubbing my back. "If you told them that you were with Eleanor during the tweet then they should've-"

"That's not it, Caitlin," I mumble, sniffling. She raises her eyebrows. "I tried talking, but they wouldn't listen." The image of Harry snapping at me, looking so hurt and so betrayed, sends a few more tears down my cheeks.

"...they didn't let you talk? At all?" A tone in Caitlin's voice is saddened, and I know what she's thinking.

"Niall was actually sticking up for me," I say quickly. "He and Louis tried to make Harry stop yelling at me."

For a brief second Caitlin's face brightens, knowing Niall hadn't meant to hurt me. But then it quickly fades. "Did you say Harry yelled at you?" she asks, softly but firmly. I nod, squeezing my eyes shut, more tears flooding up. Every word Harry had said still shouts in my head. 'I thought I knew you...' I let out a sob and bury my face in my pillow again.

"H-he wouldn't listen," I cry. "I tried to tell him but he wouldn't listen to me. He really thought I would do that to him. He took it so hard..."

"Oh, sweetie," Caitlin murmurs, pulling back my hair. Even her eyes start to water. "I wish you had let me gone. You needed me there. Me and Eleanor."

As if on cue, my phone starts to ring. I pull it out of my pocket, wiping the tears away to read the caller. "Eleanor :)."

"I can't answer it like this," I mumble, tossing it to my side.

"She deserves to know what happened," Caitlin says gently, answering the call. I moan as she brings my phone to her ear. "Nina's phone," she says, as cheery as possible. Which isn't very cheery.

"Caitlin?" I hear Eleanor say at the end of the line. She sounds concerned. "Nina told me she would call after she talked with the boys. Where is she?"

I sniffle again, a loud, gross one. Then I quickly cover my mouth, but I know Eleanor already heard.

"Is that her?!" I hear her proclaim, causing Caitlin to pull the phone away. She tilts it towards me, but I shake my head. "Just tell her," I whisper, collapsing back onto the pillow.

"Erm, yes, that was Nina," Caitlin says slowly. "She's... crying. Because the boys didn't believe her when she said she didn't do it."

Silence. Then I hear Eleanor take in a sharp breath. "I knew I should have gone," she mumbles. I can just imagine her driving home from lunch, silently punishing herself. "I'll call back in two. Hang on." Click.
