Angel was back in the body of her eleven year old self, she pressed her ear against the door so that she could listen to her parents talk.
"We need to tell her." Angel's mother whispered just loud enough for her to make out.
"We can't tell her," growled her father quietly in response. "You know what will happen, she'll be safer never knowing. Don't you want our daughter to live a normal life?"
After that, all she could make out was the sound of her mother sobbing.
Angel sat up, she looked around with wide eyes, she had no idea where she was.
The boy sat in the corner of the room, studying her as she regained consciousness. "You're finally awake." He said in a soft voice, "you snore." He added quickly.
"I do not!" Angel retorted immediately.
"You do," he said with the hint of a smile.
Angel growled quietly before looking back up at him, "what's your name?" She asked.
He looked confused for a few moments, like he had forgotten his name. "J-Jordan." He replied slowly. Jordan stood and walked over before grabbing her a cup with a dark red liquid, "yes, it's blood. No, it's not my blood and how I obtained it is not important." He said before handing her the cup before she could say anything.
Angel nodded slowly, she held the cup in her hands and looked down at the inky liquid. Hesitantly she brought the cup up to her delicate lips and sipped some of the blood, he eyes quickly changed to black and the hunger grew immensely. Angel drank the entire cup in a few seconds and tossed it onto the ground, she looked around as if she expected more.
Jordan approached her and gently placed his hands on her shoulders, "calm down." He said softly, "you need to learn to control your hunger."
Angel's normal eye colour slowly returned and she nodded, "h-how do I control it?" She asked slowly, she was shaking in fear.
Jordan sighed and looked away for a few moments before looking back at her, "I'm not a vampire, but I learnt to control my lust for blood as a wolf. I'll try to help you." And for once, he let out a slight smile to reassure her that everything was going to be okay. Everything was not going to be okay...
