Angel stood outside the warehouse that Jordan had brought her to, the faint rays of sunlight shone through the bleak grey clouds; the air was still filled with the scent that Angel loved.
Jordan stood beside her, he looked around, "the first test is easy." He said in a soft tone, "I want to see how well you can control you're bloodlust." He held out his wrist, "bite." He said surprisingly calmly, "I'll stop you if you lose control, don't worry."
Angel's eyes were wide, she sighed slowly and looked at the ground, kicking the air awkwardly. "Do we really have to?" She mumbled, "I don't want to have another... Episode..." She said, keeping her eyes fixed on the ground.
Jordan forced a weak smile, "it'll all be okay, just trust me."
Angel sighed before hesitantly lifting his wrist, she brought it closer to her lips; the tips of her fangs were visible. Hiding just behind her delicate lips, she winced as she felt her fangs extend slightly. The tips of her fangs made contact with the surface of his skin and she shivered, as she was about to press her fangs into his wrist there was a loud explosion.
Jordan pulled her into a protective hug as the seemingly invisible force hit them, sending them both flying through the air. Jordan held her tightly, crying out in pain as his back collided with the brick wall.
Jordan slid slowly down the wall, still holding Angel in his arms, he gritted his teeth in an effort to hide the pain that he was experiencing. "Hide." He said gruffly before forcing himself to stand, he cracked his neck and looked around. "Where the. Hell. Are you!" He shouted at the empty area around them.
Angel hid behind a dumpster and watched Jordan with wide eyes, she noticed him grab something from his back pocket but couldn't make out what it was, all she caught was a hint of silver before it moved out of her view.
Jordan looked around, he looked alert as always. His almost constant smirk wasn't there anymore, he looked scared.
Angel looked up at the roof of the warehouse and noticed something, her eyes widened when she saw it leap from the roof towards Jordan. "JORDAN!" She screamed too late.
The creature was on top of Jordan, sinking it's razor sharp claws into his back, clawing him over and over.
Angel screamed as she heard a gunshot.
Jordan kicked the shadowy creature off of him, he looked down at it and aimed the pistol at it, he fired over and over; filling it with bullets.
Angel screamed again, watching in horror as Jordan shot the creature. She backed away slowly, noticing another of the shadowy things in the corner of her eye.
Jordan trend and fired the pistol at the second creature until it collapsed like the first, once they were both dead, he looked over at Angel. Blood dribbled down his cheek from a small cut on his forehead.
