I went to my room scared and quickly washed my face and in 5 minutes I was freshened up and as I was done I moved out of the bathroom and made my way to the door of my room.
As I was about to open the door the doorknob twisted and the gate was open and due to me standing close to the gate I fell to the floor due to the impact.
"Omg are you okay?" Leonardo sir asked politely.
I immediately stood up as I heard his voice and replied to him with a small "yes sir"
he just gave me a nod and told me to follow him.
I started following him to the 3rd floor and as I was about to step on the staircase Leonardo sir turned back and said: " Ariel don't come to this floor until and unless you are called or you are accompanied by me or by anyone else okay?"
" Yes sir" I replied.
he just nodded and started moving up the stairs as we reached the top we turned right and there was the office of my dad as we were getting close to the door I was getting scared, I was not sure if this would be the place where I will be loved.
as we enter the room, Mr. Romano was sitting at the chair that was behind the table and it looks like Mr. Romano was working on his laptop. he must have sensed us coming into his offices as he told me to sit on the chair that was kept in front of me.
I obliged and sat in the chair with my head down and I could hear the gate closing off the office and when I turned to see where Leonardo sir is but he wasn't in the office. so I assumed that he must have left the office.
so I just waited for Mr. Romano to finish up with his work.
after he was done Mr. Romano closed his laptop and turned his attention towards me.
"You must have a lot of questions, Go on ask away," Mr. Romano said.
when Mr. Romano said this I was a bit scared should I be forward or should I be quiet and not say anything but I know I had to get answers. "Why? " I murmured,
" why?" Mr. Romano repeated confused at my words.
"Why did you abandon me?" I asked, I was on the verge to cry.
" my child come here," Mr. Romano said
I never thought he would be the one who would show any emotion but right I can also see him he is trying not to cry so I slowly stood up from the chair and went towards him as I reached him he holds my hands " we never abandoned you, Ari, we never sent you away" Mr. Romano said.
I was very confused by what he said if they never abandoned how did I end up with those horrible people, as Mr. Romano could sense I was confused he made me look him into his eyes and he said
"you were kidnapped"...
