Adeline loomed about in the dark streets of Switzerland, acting like a shadow as she quietly kept the shrieks of pain confided within her throat as to not alert anyone of her presence. Walking atop of the cement public sidewalk after a battle was proving to be more excruciatingly painful then she would have imagined it to be. She was limping while clutching her gashed side, making herself appear like a rotting corpse. Although the night, Swiss-air was cold against her body, the blood pouring out of her various deep wounds put the frigid air to shame.
After a deadly confrontation, and completing the assassination of Talon council member Sanjay Korpal, Adeline was left mortally wounded and the feeling of slipping off to an enteral sleep was dangling mockingly above her.
'I need to get to shelter, or raid a store for some medical supplies, but I don't think I have the strength. I could barely talk inside of my mind without wanting to give into death, but what other option do I have if I want to live to honor Genji and Hanzo.'
Thinking about her fallen friend and old lover makes Adeline start to tear up and her pace picks up. She found the motivation to keep going by thinking about the two most important people in her life, but her injuries were quick to outweigh the mental strength she thought she had.
'I can't die, not with so much justice left to serve.'
Adeline was about to take another step when the sound of a door opening and closing made her stop. A woman who was looking over some files started walking towards her. When the woman looked up, she gasped and dropping the files in her hands and making them scatter all over the dirty floor. Adeline, who was bloody, bruised, and crying, stared at this woman as if she were her savior. In that moment, the blonde looked nothing short of an angel.
Adeline stiffened and looked down at her body that was now wet with tears and blood and then looked back up at the woman, who decided to take a step back. Whether it was out of fear or concern, Adeline couldn't tell. A small smile managed to creep on Adeline's lips as she mustered enough strength to talk to the woman.
"I'm sorry...you have to see me like this...stranger...can you please...please..."
Adeline couldn't finish her sentence as she fell to the ground, her golden eyes rolling to the back of her head as she hit the floor, her body falling limp and cold.

Angela gasped and walked up to the girl, who looked like a beaten child. She cursed herself for thinking that the girl was going to hurt her. Angela checked the girl's pulse and was relieved to know that she still had one. Angela was about to pick her up when Fareeha exited the same building. She was startled upon seeing the girl's body, but her scream was muffled by Angela's glare towards the want-a-be agent.
"What happened to her?" Fareeha screamed, rushing over to the doctor.
"Fareeha! I am not sure. She was like this when I came out. I thought she was going to attack me, but she collapsed instead."
"Get inside and prepare a bed for her Doctor. I'll get her in."
Angela nodded, quickly picking up the files she dropped before rushing inside. Fareeha scooped down and picked up the girl, shivering at how cold she was opposed to the soldier's warm skin.
"You'll be okay, little one. I promise."
Fareeha rushed inside, dashing through the dark hallways and following the sounds of Angela's yelling. Fareeha was in so much of a rush, she didn't realize she almost dropped the girl.
"Get her on the bed, and take off that bag of hers."
Fareeha did just that, taking off the girl's backpack and frowning at how light it was.
