The Wheels have Turned

Chapter 23

It's 10 minutes before showtime with the Singaporean Mixers and the girls are excited at the same time nervous too especially since they are technically a woman down but Jesy insisted of performing even in a wheelchair except ofcourse the dance-heavy songs. She doesn't want to get in the way of the dancers and her bandmates.

They huddled together for their usual pep-talk before the show and everyone was wishing each other "Goodluck, to stay safe and have fun".

Jade was standing by her cue breathing deeply in order to calm herself down. She already had her mandatory preshow poo so she's ready.

Perrie: Hey, you ready? 

The blonde whispered behind her bestfriend which startled her a bit but calmed down immediately when she saw the familiar blue eyes smiling at her

Jade: Yeah.. You know, it's the usual nerves. I'll be fine.

Perrie nodded and stood beside her, doing her routine breathes too. They can both hear the crowd hyped up already. Both Leigh and Jesy still has their lapels being attached to their backs so they haven't gone to their positions yet.

Perrie: It's our last concert in Asia.

Jade: (sighs) I know. It's been tiring but so much fun. We're so blessed.

Perrie: (nodding) And you know what makes it even more special?

Jade looked at her bestfriend anticipating her answer.

Perrie: I get to spend it with you. (a few seconds pause) And of course Leigh-Anne and Jesy! (she tried to follow it up immediately trying to save her statement)

The shorter Geordie just giggled and slightly held Perrie's hand and giving it a small squeeze.

Jade: But mostly me right?

Perrie: (chuckling) Of course.

Jade: You better. 

The grey-haired popstar gave her a smirk before looking towards the front of the stage with Perrie doing the same thing.

Jade: I'm so glad to experience all this with you Pez. Thanks for being there for me. You're really my best friend.

It was Perrie's turn to look over Jade who kept her eyes straight ahead. Her heart shattered a bit when she heard the word "best friend" because it puts her in a vulnerable position right now because of her feelings for Jade that is beyond friendship but she's also appreciative of being a special person in the Geordie's life so she's still grateful.

With their hands still attached towards each other. Perrie responded with a small squeeze and nod before they saw Leigh-Anne standing beside the blonde and was hopping in place getting ready for the show.

Leigh-Anne: Woooo.. Last show for Asia. You ready girls?

Both girls looked at her and nodded with a shared smile before the lights dimmed signaling that the show's starting so they can hear the crowd beginning to scream. Perrie reached out her free hand towards her curly-haired bandmate in which Leigh took it with a enthusiastic smile as their podium started to rise towards the stage.

Jade: (whispering in Perrie's ear) I bet you can't hit your high note in Secret Love Song tonight.

Perrie glanced at Jade who was giving her a teasing look which was no doubt a playful challenge given so she raised an eyebrow before she felt the lights hit their eyes and they knew that the show has officially began.
