The Wheels have Turned

Chapter 16

Perrie's POV:

It was probably around early afternoon Singaporean time when we finally touched down in the airport in Singapore and I was excited to just relax in the hotel room until the concert tomorrow night. It's indeed been a tiring world tour but it's also our biggest one yet so I'm grateful.

We were the first ones to leave the airplane with our carry on luggage in hand, I could see some stewards assisting Jesy with crutches and a wheelchair awaiting outside the plane with Leigh-Anne close behind carrying their bags. Jade still looked a little weak probably from the plane ride so I tried carrying her bags for her but she insisted that she was fine and just told me to hold her hand because she still felt a little sleepy, so I did.

Once our whole team made it out of the customs, Michael got a cart for our bags and they said the rest of our stuff will be taken by the rest of the team so he ushered us towards the arrival area where the cars are waiting for us outside. Leigh-Anne asked Jade if she was ok because she felt a little pale and was replied with a faint nod but we can see right past her. Jesy just held out a comforting hand towards Jade and the Geordie accepted it using her right hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze acknowledging the sentiments knowing that she is there for her. I decided to push Jesy's wheelchair after asking permission from Leigh in which she accepted and hooked her right arm around my left as we head towards the exit.

We were immediately swarmed with fans in the arrival area. They were all smiling, screaming and waving at us while taking videos and pictures. Unfortunately we just waved and smiled back since we had to leave the airport as soon as possible because of Jesy's injury and Jade looks very tired. After a final wave towards our fans who were also outside the airport, Claud and the other dancers helped Jesy in the van while Jade and I sat on the backseat and Leigh-Anne was beside Jesy in front of us as the van then left for our hotel with Jade dozing off immediately on my shoulder as soon as the door closed.

We arrived in the large hotel where we were greeted by the manager and staff welcoming us to Singapore and their hotel, he told us about the amenities that are available in the hotel like a 24 hour cafe, an all you can eat buffet, free wifi, swimming pool overlooking the city landscapes, a gym, a bar on the rooftop and a whole lot more in which I can hear the Mixmen nudging each other getting excited about the pool and bar and I was busy looking over Jade who was grasping my left hand tightly trying to keep her eyes open.

We were brought to our suite that has a living area as you enter with a long L-shaped couch, tv and a small dinning table with chairs. Once passing it, there was the bedroom with 2 queen-sized beds separated by a desk with a lamp on it and opposite from it was also a tv but much smaller than the one in the living room. Then on the end of the room was a huge bathroom that could fit both a tub and a shower. The bell hop placed all our suitcases on the cabinets and told us to just ring the information desk if we need anything else as we tipped and thank him. Randall and Claud assisted Jesy towards the bed and helped her get situated & elevating her foot before leaving and told us that they will stop by in a while. I went towards the refrigerator at the living room where I can see Leigh-Anne still talking to the boys by the door, I took out a bottled water and went to Jesy's bag that was beside her bed and took out her medications in which she thanked me for being thoughtful as she drank it. I peered over the other bed where I saw Jade on top of it absolutely spent and was beginning to sleep, she looked so tired that she didn't even bother to remove her boots and still had her sunglasses on her head while half her body was about to fall off the bed.

Jesy: She must be really tired. Can you check up on her and see if she isn't feeling sick?

I nodded and took the bottled water for Jesy and settled it on the bedside table before going to Jade's side and checked her forehead to check her temperature, luckily it didn't felt like she was catching a fever. I then started to remove her boots slowly and situated her legs comfortably on the bed and carried her a little bit by tucking my arms behind her neck and knees to move her a little further from the edge of the bed so she wouldn't slide off and finally pulling off her sunglasses from her head in which she flinched a little bit and I gently rubbed the top of her head whispering her to go to sleep in which she replied with a mumbled; "ok Baba" before hearing her starting to softly snore. As I saw her breathing even out confirming that she was already asleep, I turned around & saw Jesy laying on the other bed looking at me, but her facial expressions are undecipherable like I couldn't tell what's on her mind.

Jesy: How is her temperature?

Perrie: Uhmmm.. Her forehead's not hot thankfully, she probably just needs some rest. I'll order her food as soon as she wakes up. Do you want me to order you some food?

Jesy: No thank you, I should probably get some rest since the meds are kicking in. Why don't you and Leigh order some food first and Jade & I will eat as soon as we both wake up.

I was considering ordering food until I felt a tug on my left hand that was resting on Jade's shoulder and apparently she was holding onto it while also trapping it between her head and the pillow, I tried pulling it a bit but it was apparently stuck and she looked to peaceful for me to suddenly wake her up.

Perrie: You know, I think I need a nap too. I'll just order food with you guys later.

Jesy raised an eyebrow upon hearing this & she looked at me like I have 2 heads.

Jesy: Really? Perrie Edwards turn down food? Maybe you're to one who's sick.

I chuckled at my best friend's response and I agree that it's weird that I refuse food, but right now, I just wants to lie down beside Jade.

Perrie: No I am not Jes. I just want some sleep, it's been a crazy few weeks. I think we all need a good few hours of sleep right about now am I right?

Jesy looked at me for a few seconds processing my response and proceeded to nod accepting it & agreeing with me.

Jesy: You're right. We've been really busy ever since the tour started and we deserve a well-earned sleep from time to time during these grueling schedules.

As Jesy was making herself comfortable on the bed facing the ceiling getting ready for sleep to take over. I slowly removed my boots and placed them under the bed along with Jade's I started to transfer towards the other side of the bed which led me to remove my hand from Jade's grasp a little forcefully that woke up a little bit and slightly murmuring my name as if trying to find me with her eyes closed but I rushed towards the other side of the bed telling her to go back to sleep as I lay down flat on bed. She then shifted her body facing towards me and put her head on my outstretched arm and tucked her body beside me while I was facing the ceiling. I know it'll be a little chilly later in the room since the aircon was on as we arrived, I tried using my toes to reach the thin blanket folded on the foot of the bed without disturbing the sleeping girl on my shoulder. Thankfully Leigh-Anne entered the room raising an eyebrow towards my direction silently questioning what I'm doing with my toes and I blushed while pointing at the blanket and silently requesting her to help me out. She then went and took the blanket and spread it on top of us to cover our whole bodies and only showing our heads. She then slightly tucked Jade's side making sure she's secured on the bed and applied a light kiss on her head than went to my side and did the same thing with the blanket.

Perrie: Thanks Leigh.

She looked at Jade sleeping peacefully and towards me and gave me a smile and also kissed my forehead.

Leigh-Anne: Don't mention it Pezza.

I can feel the sleep taking over me & I looked over the other bed and seeing Leigh slowly laying on it while checking up in Jesy who I can hear snoring slightly before settling in looking like she has the same idea as all of us and get some sleep too. I glanced towards Jade who was also in a deep slumber already, so I rested me head above hers then slowly closed my eyes with a small smile in my face being thankful for my best friends and our success together.
