Chapter 11

Chapter 11- Some Lesy-centric

(When both geordie's left the room, Leigh-Anne was tidying up a bit particularly her bed which had pasta stains in her beddings all thanks to Perrie. "That girl needs more than manners. She needs a bib!", Leigh-Anne thought as she was pushing the tray table at the girls' shared common room. As she returned, she saw Jesy was trying to get comfortable as she was tucked in earlier by the girls but she started squirming a bit.)

Leigh-Anne: Is anything wrong?

Jesy: I think the pain reliever is starting to wear off. I can feel my ankle starting to throb more and more.

Leigh-Anne: Here, let me get your meds so you can sleep easily. (She went to the mini-fridge where she took out a water bottle & went to the night stand and took the bottle of pain meds their manager left earlier and then helped Jesy untuck from the bed and sat her up towards the headboard as she assisted her in giving her the medication she needed.)

(As Jesy gulped down the meds, her phone suddenly rang which shocked both girls awake as they were getting quite tired. As they looked at the screen, they saw Jake's name and face popped up, which lit Jesy's face up taking it immediately from the night stand. The same can't be said for her friend beside her as she suddenly sported a frown seeing the boy's face on one of her best friend's screen. Leigh then stood up and motioned at Jesy that she'll just be in the C.R. to brush her teeth in which the other girl nodded in acknowledgment. Leigh-Anne closed the bathroom door and brushed her teeth all the while trying to be preoccupied for a while & not interrupt nor eavesdrop on the engaged couple talking in the other side of the room. She couldn't pinpoint exactly why she suddenly felt sadness upon seeing Jake's face on Jesy's phone. Don't get her wrong, she thinks he's a great guy and he truly cares about Jesy and she was really happy when they got engaged. Atleast that's what she thinks. She thinks that maybe it's because she's just feeling sad because of her situation with Jordan is right now? Maybe it's because Jake and Jesy's relationship is growing stronger and happier as opposed to what her and Jordan currently has. She knows they're still together and she still cares for him. But she thinks it's all different now and not in a positive way because of the constant arguments they've been having for the past few months that became more frequent which would lead to not talking for days and even weeks just like now, since their last argument involved her not being able to call him back one night because she was so worn out from a concert that she didn't realize her phone was not beside her when she crashed at her bed after a concert without any proper dinner nor shower as the phone kept on buzzing as it was at silent mode which was a rule during concerts but Leigh forgot to unmute it that time. Jesy who was also her roommate at that time, just got out the shower answered probably Jordan's 10th call started yelling at Jesy thinking it was Leigh-Anne reprimanding her why she hasn't replied to his calls or texts and accusing her that she must be hiding from him or cheating on him while on tour which Jesy didn't take lightly and snapped at the guy at the other line telling him that's no way to treat Leigh-Anne like that and explaining to him that she hasn't had any proper sleep due to the tour and sayin' he was being inconsiderate, selfish and a tool for not only yelling at her who was suppose to be Leigh-Anne but also accusing her of cheating as she was working hard in her job unlike him before hanging up the phone with rage. Jesy explained to Leigh-Anne what happened the next day at breakfast and Leigh-Anne felt more drained than she was the night before and thanked Jesy for standing up for her. Leigh-Anne tried calling and texting and messaging Jordan since then but he hasn't answered any of her messages which makes her heart sank. She doesn't know what to do with him seeing as trust has already been a big issue for both of them especially with the accusations of cheating has already been brought up by him. Maybe she needs to sort things out with her boyfriend when she gets home. They haven't been talking for a week & she's sleep deprived for the past few days, so she doesn't want to tire herself out thinking about it even more for now. She's just thankful her girls have always been there for her. After she was done with her nightly routine which include drying her hair & putting on moisturizer, she exited the room and sees Jesy still talking to Jake with half-lidded eyes threatening to close any minute and thinks the side effects of the pain meds were already kicking in. Jake must have noticed it too and Leigh overhearing him saying that he needs to go and advising Jesy to take care and get some rest.)

Jesy: I will. No need to worry about me,everyone here has been very helpful to me so far.

Jake: That's good, & I know the girls we take extra care of you.

Jesy: I doubt that. (she chuckled as she saw Leigh-Anne in the corner of her eye and winked at her which caused her afro-haired friend to blush lightly)

Jake: Awwww.. Give you friends some slack. Even though they are full of mischief especially Perrie and Jade, they really do care. Especially Leigh-Anne.

Leigh-Anne ducked her head a little bit as she blushed harder in what Jake said to Jesy. She really do believe Jake is a nice guy and she felt a little guilty for some reason that she can't sink her teeth into.

Jesy: Yep. I know they do. I have to go, I am really sleepy, must be because of the pain meds or due to the long day. We have to wake up early tomorrow for the flight to Singapore. I'll call you when we get to the airport.

Jake: Ok honey. Goodnight. Say "Hi" to the girls for me.

Jesy: Ok hon. Leigh-Anne, Jake says "Hi". (twisting the phone to Leigh-Anne's direction)

Leigh-Anne: Hi Jake. May you have a good night.

Jake: Goodnight Leigh, I trust you to take care of my baby girl for me over there alright?

Leigh-Anne: I will, don't worry. (There's that guilt feeling appearing yet again inside of her which continues to puzzle her as she gives Jake a small wave)

Jesy: Goonight Hon. I love you.

Jake: I love you too Honey. Sweetdreams.

(Jesy sends Jake a flying kiss towards the screen as she hangs up the phone. She sets the phone in the side table remembering to set the alarm clock. As she was about to close her side lamp, although feeling woozy, she noticed one of her best friends who was in the other bed looking sad as she was playing with her fingers as if deep in thought.)

Jesy: Hey, are you alright?

Leigh-Anne: (knocked out her thoughts) Huh?! Yeah. Yeah. Just a little tired perhaps. We should probably get some rest. Let me tuck you in again.

(Leigh-Anne gets down from her bed and heads towards Jesy as she helped her lay down and fixed her pillows and carefully adjusting the pillow below her injured friend's ankle and tucked her in nicely as she folded her comforter properly with Jesy smiling at her appreciatively with hooded eyes threatening to close any minute. She kissed her presumably sleeping friend's forehead before whispering "Goodnight Jes". As she was about to close both her and Jesy's lamps she heard a faint voice coming from the sleeping girl's mouth.

Jesy: Remember Leigh, you know I'm always here for you if you need me right? (slowly turning her head to Leigh's direction still with her eyes closed but with a small smile forming in her lips)

Leigh-Anne doesn't know if Jesy was still awake or is already dreaming but she still believe Jesy meant every word.

Leigh-Anne: I know Jes. That's why i love you. (She answered with a tear escaping from her eye as she turned off the lamps and settled into bed beginning to be overcome by sleep not before hearing a distant soft whisper she didn't know it she heard correctly as Jesy replied with...)

Jesy: Love you too Leigh.

Both girls then slept through the night.
