Chapter 19

a few days later, jungkook surprised taehyung at work. he texted him that he's waiting for him by the front door of the building company when his work day was over.

when he received the message, taehyung smiled, a bit worried that jungkook was already driving again but he trusted jungkook to tell him if he's hurting or not feeling well.

he walked out of the company, saying goodbye to jimin when his eyes landed on jungkook, leaning against the car, waiting for him. he rushed towards him, kissing his cheek. "i really missed you picking me up from work." he said and jungkook chuckled, "i know, i missed this too. let's go. i'll order pizza and we'll have a movie night, hmm?"

they got inside the car as jungkook started driving away. then he spoke, "have i told you before that you're assistant is fucking cute?"
taehyung raised an eyebrow at him, "yeah?"

jungkook nodded, still looking ahead. "yeah, hot even." taehyung frowned, looking away from jungkook and out of the window. then the car ride was silent, neither of them saying a word, until taehyung spoke after a while.

"actually, can you drop me at home? i don't feel like hanging out today." taehyung said, still looking outside the car. "are you okay?" jungkook asked, a little smile dancing on his face that went unnoticed by the other who nodded, "i'm just a bit tired."

jungkook nodded, "what a bummer. i really wanted to eat pizza and watch a movie, but if you're not feeling well, we can always do it some other time."

"yeah, i guess i'm sorry for ruining your plans for tonight. but you can find someone else to watch that movie with. i don't know, i can even give you jimin's number if you want." taehyung thought he was being a good actor, hiding how annoyed he was, but in reality his tone and the small frown on his face were giving him away.

jungkook chuckled, "jimin? your assistant? well sounds good to me, can you send it now just in case you forget when you're home?" jungkook said, parking outside taehyung's building.

taehyung looked at him bewildered by his answer. "i won't forget. goodnight." he said as he opened the door and got out of the car.

he was about to walk inside when he heard jungkook calling for him, "tae, wait." jungkook said, walking towards him and turning him around so they were face to face. "you're adorable when you're jealous."

taehyung blinked at him, "j-jealous? i'm not jealous! why would i be jealous? as if." he made some gestures with his hands, as if what jungkook just said is the stupidest thing he's ever heard, and that only made the younger laugh. "you're not doing a very good job hiding your jealousy, baby."

"okay, maybe i am jealous, so what? i have every right to be." taehyung admitted, frowning again. "and why's that?" he heard jungkook say, eyebrow raised. "because you told me you like me. and now you're here calling jimin hot or whatever. and it makes me insecure because what if you don't like me anymore? is that it? do you not like me anymore?" taehyung said, looking down at his fingers.

jungkook smiled at this, putting a finger under taehyung's chin to make him look at him, "shh, i don't ever wanna hear you say that again, okay? i only have eyes for you, i only like you."

taehyung stared at him, "if that is true, why haven't you asked me to be your boyfriend yet?" he whispered, hearing jungkook chuckle after. "will you be my boyfriend, taehyung?

the latter's eyes widened, "what?"
jungkook smiled at his reaction. "i was doing it on purpose dummy. i wanted to see if you would get jealous when i call someone cute. i mean sure jimin is cute, but i don't see him like that. i don't see anyone like that. just you. so will you be my boyfriend, baby?"

taehyung slapped the younger's chest lightly, "i hate you for this. and yes of course! of course i'll be your boyfriend." at that, jungkook hugged him tightly, kissing the top of his head. "should we go inside? i think the whole street just watched us become boyfriends."

taehyung giggled, pulling away from the hug as he led jungkook inside.
