over the following three weeks, jungkook was settled after moving all his stuff to now, his shared apartment with taehyung. he also started his new job as a photographer and finally, after long, long years, he feels happy with himself.

living with taehyung was something out of a dream. he absolutely loved falling asleep next to him and waking up in the middle of the night to his very loud snores or to one of his feet right on jungkook's face. it was all so heavenly.

the two of them have decided that weekend nights are date nights for them, and every week, jungkook found himself falling more in love with taehyung than ever.

jungkook has also decided to start talking to his mum. he doesn't forgive her, at least not yet, but starting with baby steps. he called her and told her that he wanted to talk to her and she immediately agreed. they met at a cafe and he told her everything he was feeling. how they made him feel, how much he hated how things turned out for them, and how he's ready to start another chapter with her; because in the new life jungkook is drawing for himself, there is no time or space for negative feelings.

taehyung was with him through it all, supporting him and giving him all the cuddles in the world, and the younger appreciated it. if it wasn't for taehyung, he probably wouldn't be here right now.

so now, on a thursday evening, the two boys were invited for dinner at misun's place. this would be the very first time that jungkook visits her house, and it made him nervous. but this was more like a test, because taehyung promised him if he feels uncomfortable, they'll leave and jungkook won't have to see her again.

hand in hand, taehyung knocked on the door that was opened to reveal a man behind it. the man smiled gently at them before letting them in. "jungkook, taehyung, i'm chaewon, misun's husband. it's so nice to see you."

the two smiled at him, making small talk before they were walking inside to the living room where misun suddenly popped in. "i'm so glad you came." she said, not sure if she can hug jungkook or if it would made him uncomfortable, so she just settled on smiling. "food will be ready in a minute. take a seat."

"uhm, i'd like to see my siblings first." jungkook spoke in a low voice making taehyung squeeze his hand in reassurance. and just then, the three little kids came in running at jungkook and hugging his legs.

after he called his mum and talked to her, jungkook got the chance to babysit all his three siblings which made them bond together. the two little girls, hana and haneul, absolutely loved jungkook and couldn't shut up about him all night when they came back home.

jungkook crouched down in front of them, hugging them. "how have you been? are you being good or have you been acting naughty?" he asked and the three of them shook their heads, "we've been very good kids kookie, right daddy?" hana said with puppy eyes. he giggled at her cuteness before pulling away a little, taking taehyung's hand so he can crouch down next to him. "that's good. look what taehyung and i brought for you." taehyung pulled out from his tote bag three small bags of chocolate and handed one to each of them.

"you guys are the best!" haneul and jungwon spoke together making the two boys chuckle at them, "let's hide these till after dinner though, don't want mommy to take them away now do we?" taehyung spoke in a whisper to which they nodded to, hiding their chocolate away.

what they didn't know was that misun was silently looking at them from the kitchen, tears in her eyes as she saw how much of an angel jungkook grew up to be. he was always a kind-hearted person, and even after everything, he still hasn't changed.

"dinner is ready." she finally said, smiling at jungkook who was looking at her.

they sat around the table, misun putting food for the little children before looking at jungkook. "i made all your favorite dishes. and i got you your favorite drink too."

"thank you." he whispered, not sure if he should say anything else. she then started pouring him and taehyung some food, and jungkook didn't miss the way she put his old favorite shiny blue chopsticks next to his plate. he couldn't believe she still had them after all this time. he also didn't miss that only by his plate, were some iron man napkins that he always loved, while the rest of them had white ones.

jungkook looked up at his mum to see that she was already looking at him, then she smiled. and for the first time in years, jungkook smiles back at her.
