Chapter 25

when jungwon got tired, jungkook and taehyung walked him to the cafe where his family were. once misun saw them outside, she went over to them to take the tired little boy into her arms. "did you have fun baby?" she asked him and he nodded sleepily, resting his head on his mother's shoulder.

"jungkookie and taehyungie are so much fun!" he said, rubbing at his eyes, "you can come over to our house so we can play with my cars sometime, right mommy?"

misun awkwardly nodded at him, "of course, they can come over whenever they want." and with that, the boy fell asleep hugging his mum. she looked at jungkook, "thank you so much for spending time with jungwon, he's been asking a lot about you and always telling me that he wanted to meet you."

jungkook didn't know what to say, so he just nodded his head until misun spoke again, "uhm, you know, you can visit whenever you want, if you want i can send you our address. jungwon would be very happy if you did, and uhm, i would too." she said, hugging jungwon closer. "listen, what i'm saying is, even if you can't forgive me, i would love it if you could bond with your siblings, i want you to be a part of the lives as their big brother. your sisters really want to meet you too."

jungkook was about to speak but she cut him off before he did, "you don't have to say anything now, just please think about it, yeah?" the boy nodded, "uh yeah, okay. we have to go now."

misun nodded, "drive safe." the two boys nodded in acknowledgement before they were walking away.

once they were walking back by the beach, jungkook let out a loud sigh, "i can't believe that just happened." he said to taehyung who squeezed at his hand, "are you okay? how do you feel baby?" taehyung asked, wanting to make sure the younger isn't overwhelmed by what just happened or something.

"i'm fine, it's just- it's crazy. only a few weeks ago she had me completely erased from her life, keeping her kids away from me because she was scared they'd become like me, if that means anything. but now she's here, asking me back into her life, and not just that, but to be a brother for her kids, and i- i hate myself because i know i shouldn't but i really want my siblings to know me and i really wanna spend time with them."

taehyung smiled at him, moving in front of him to cup his cheeks, "don't hate yourself for that, your siblings didn't do anything bad, they're just little kids that have no idea what's going on around them, and they just want to meet their big brother. even if you're angry at misun, you shouldn't take it out on your siblings. and based on what i saw today, you did great with jungwon, jungkook. you're an amazing brother, okay?"

jungkook kissed taehyung's palm that was resting on his cheek, "thank you."

"taehyung?" jungkook started, "do you think, if jungwon would really grow up to be interested in boys, do you think she'd do the same to him?"

the older shook his head, "based on what she said about her husband last time, i don't think he'd be homophobic or something so he wouldn't mind it, and i believe she's definitely learnt her lesson, she wouldn't hurt jungwon, i don't think so, jungkookie, don't worry, yeah?"

the latter nodded, "i hope she'll be a better mum to him than she was to me. jungwon is an angel, and he deserves nothing but love."

the older leaned in to peck jungkook's lips, "you're a real angel, baby, i love you."

jungkook smiled, basking in the warmth of taehyung's hands against his cheeks, "i love you too."
