that day, the two stayed at jungkook's place as they laid in bed together, taehyung's head resting on jungkook's chest while each of them was scrolling through his phone.
then jungkook put his phone down, kissing taehyung's hair. "you never talk about your parents. i'm curious, what are they like?" taehyung looked up at him with a small smile before answering, "my parents are nice? yeah they're like super overprotective of me and they're the type that worries a lot, but i don't mind it because at the end of the day, they accept me and respect my decisions."
jungkook smiled back at him, "that sounds nice. how did you come out to them?"
"well i didn't exactly have to come out to them." taehyung chuckled, "we were having a family dinner and then my grandma saw some handsome guy on tv so she was like 'you're handsome, he's handsome, you'd make a very cute couple.' and you know, i chocked on my food because what the actual fuck? and then my mum started laughing and said she saw me googling how to come out to your parents because i forgot to delete my search history and yeah. i started crying because it was too much for me, like i wasn't prepared and all, but my parents hugged me and assured me that they still loved me the same."
jungkook giggled at the story, "that's an unusual yet cute coming out story." taehyung nodded, "my grandma even baked me a cake and wrote we love you on it, and to this day she just calls me my handsome little gay because she thinks it's cute. it's actually really embarrassing but i just think that's her way of reminding me she loves me nonetheless."
"your grandma is so cool! wanna meet her."
taehyung aggressively shook his head, "no, nope! she has like 321 embarrassing stories and 2134 embarrassing pictures of me that she's saving for my future boyfriend that i don't want you to see."
jungkook laughed at that, "my mum used to have a lot of those of me. i'm not sure if she still has them, but it would be nice if she did."
taehyung sat up straight and cupped jungkook's face, pecking his nose before talking, "i'm not sure what you're thinking about the whole thing with your mum, i don't know everything you felt because of her, but whatever you decide, make sure it's the best for you, okay? if you decide not to forgive her, make sure you don't regret it later. and if you decide to forgive her but you can't forget what she put you through, then that's okay, you can forgive but not forget. just do whatever makes you feel good about this whole thing, okay?"
jungkook kissed taehyung's palm that was cupping his face, "tae, i don't know. i want to have her back in my life, i want her to tease me again about silly things and i want her to hug me like she used to, but i'm also so scared. what if i let her back into my life and when i think everything is okay, she hurts me again? what if she lets go of me again?"
caressing jungkook's cheek, taehyung spoke, "i know you're scared, and that's very understandable. but you should remember that many things have changed from that time, and maybe she did too. i'm not asking you to forgive her instantly, take all the time you need. i just think that it would help if you talked to her. but either way, whatever you decide to do, i'll be right by your side."
"i hope our kids will be as wise and beautiful as you are." jungkook said with a smile that taehyung mirrored quickly after hearing that, "already talking about having kids with me?"
jungkook chuckled, "well i am with you because i can see my whole future with you in it, so yeah. kids are somewhere there in the future i imagine for us."
"it's super soft and cute of you to imagine that, but how are we gonna have kids when he haven't had sex yet?" taehyung said teasingly, making jungkook laugh, "now i know why you got an F on that biology test."
taehyung burst out in laughter, "shut up, i'm just messing with you. of course i see you in my future, you're a very big part of my life jungkookie, and i want to spend a lifetime with you."
jungkook connected their lips in a soft kiss, pulling apart a few moments later to whisper against the older's lips, "is this the right time to tell you that i love you? because i do. i love you taehyung."
taehyung pulled away a little to look at him with a smile dancing on his lips, "i know."
"how?"
"you don't have to tell me you love me for me to know, everything you've done for me has already gave you away." taehyung said, still smiling. "hmm, and you?" jungkook asked, "do you love me?"
a peck on his lips, jungkook smiles when taehyung talks again, "i am beyond in love with you jungkook."
and just like that, jungkook feels happy.
