Chapter 21

"i told you don't fucking touch me!" jungkook yelled at the nurse that was trying to get him out of bed. "jungkook please, you have to go." the nurse, yoongi, tried but jungkook was not having it. "i'm not going anywhere. at least not before taehyung comes. he's gonna hold my hand, and you know what that means? it means i don't feel any pain anymore. so i'm not moving until then."

yoongi sighed, "you know we can't delay your sessions. you need to go inside now, and taehyung's gonna come later. we already contacted him. plus you've been doing this alone for years, come on."

that kinda hurt jungkook, but he shrugs, "i don't care. if you try to force me i'm gonna scream this center down, you know i would." he threatened.

jungkook had another physiotherapy session but he refused to go there without taehyung who was at work at the time. one of the nurses had contacted the latter, letting him know about it, and as soon as he got the call, he packed his things and was on his way to the rehabilitation center.

"jungkook i swear to god- are you a kid?" the nurse let out yet another sigh, and jungkook nodded at him, "yes."

yoongi walked closer to the bed, making jungkook scream in panic, "don't you dare min yoongi!" just then, taehyung walked into the room which had jungkook standing up immediately and walking towards him. "taehyung, they're forcing me to go inside without you."

the older smiled, "can you give us a minute please?" he asked yoongi who nodded and left. taehyung cupped jungkook's face, "what's all this, hm?" he asked and jungkook hugged him. "it didn't hurt last time when you were holding my hand, so i want you to be there again." they both knew it wasn't exactly true. pain is pain. but knowing someone was actually there for you made the pain tolerable.

taehyung pulled away a little to look at the younger with the softest smile, "of course i'll be there. now how about you go inside and get ready and i'll follow right behind you, i promise. and i also promise lots of cuddles and kisses after. how does that sound?"

jungkook's smile was so wide when he nodded, then he got a little kiss on the forehead. and with that, he walked out to get ready.

jungkook's psychiatrist had wanted to talk to taehyung, so before following jungkook, he went to see her. "you probably heard what jungkook is doing, he won't take his medications without you, he won't go to his sessions without you, he even won't come see me unless you ask him to."

taehyung nodded at the woman as a sign of understanding, so she continued. "it's like he's behaving like kids, and that's completely normal. you know why?"
he shook his head. "jungkook first came here when he was just a kid, sixteen, seventeen barely. and he always did as he was instructed, but that's not because he wanted to, but because he had to. he came here alone, no parents, so he had no one to act up to, you know? like i know this is good for me but i don't want it and then the person bribes them with something they love so they agree? yeah that. but since for the first time ever, he has someone, you, right here with him, he kinda wants to make sure that you're really here. you make him feel like the little kid he once was."

taehyung is nodding, but he's a little confused. "okay, so what am i supposed to do in this case?" he asked. "you need to be there. make some time for him. if he wants you to be with him during his physiotherapy then be there. if he wants you to accompany him before coming in to see me, or to do some tests, do it. just be there for him, he needs that."

after hearing that, he was straight on his way to jungkook who was still throwing a tantrum about starting without taehyung. taehyung chuckled when he saw him, "i'm right here."

jungkook looked at him, "i thought you weren't coming, you took too long." he said through a pout that taehyung instantly kissed away, "how can i not come, baby? is there anyone in this world more important to me than you?"

jungkook smiled, finally going over to lay on his back and begin his session, all the while holding taehyung's hand.
