Are you guys doing anything for halloween?

Changbin took a seat next to the other, sending him a small smile.

"You don't mind if I take a hit from this, right?" He didn't wait for Chan to reply, doing it anyways like it was second nature."I just uh- came to apologize."

Changbin handed the joint back, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jacket. He hadn't looked at Chan since he sat down, continuing to stare at the road in front of them.

"You don't need to-" Changbin leaned over, shoving him with his shoulder a little.

"I do. I really do." He shifted over, leaning his back on the roof supporters and finally making eye contact with Chan. "I'm sorry. I know I fucked up. We haven't exactly kept in contact this whole month..."

Chan flicked the cap on and off of his lighter, listening to Changbin's words intently. "I didn't really understand why and honestly I still don't. Not really sure why you're acting like this." He put down the lighter, looking over at Changbin.

"What kind of apology is this?"

Changbin sighed, he took his jacket off and tossed it on the steps next to him. He reached his hand out to grab onto Chan's but everytime he was close enough he'd jerk his hand back.

Changbin wanted to comfort him by holding his hand but it seemed weird to him. He was never touchy with Chan and when they were, he never initiated it. Changbin did however get comfortable the more persistent Chan would be with him. "Um..."

It got to the point where Chan lost his patience and he chose to just grab onto Changbin's hand for him. "Continue."

The younger coughed awkwardly, turning his head away. "Right so... we haven't talked and it's really fucking with me...why haven't you been answering my calls, Chan?" Changbin's hold on his hand tightened, not exactly a fan of the silence between them now.

"Bin...You're an idiot." Chan reached for his jaw, turning his head so they were face to face. "Why do you think I wasn't answering your calls?" Changbin watched his mouth move as he talked, biting his own lip in the process.

"Hyunjin?"

Chan's expression faltered, not exactly expecting that from him. Though it was partially true that wasn't the reason this all started anyway. "Well...no that's not what really-"

"What does he have that I don't?"

Changbin turned, one leg resting on the step below him and pulling Chan in by the waist to sit on his lap.

"Changbin! What're you talking a-about?" Chan held his arms up, not really touching the younger male.

"I'm your best friend. I come first, don't I? Not some guy you've been casually fucking."

This wasn't fair. Chan was supposed to be mad, he wasn't supposed to let Changbin just woo him like this. It wasn't fair.

He wanted to stay mad, Chan knew it would benefit him in the long run - prevent his heart from breaking any more than it already has. He just couldn't though, not when Changbin was like this.

"Hyunjin's not someone i've been 'fucking.' It's - it's not like that." Changbin scoffed, he didn't believe him for a second, not with those marks on his neck. "What does it matter to you anyway?"

Changbin paused, "well, uhh..."

That was a good question. Why did it matter so much? He just couldn't seem to figure it out - the thought of anyone being with Chan that wasn't him just made his blood boil.

"Exactly! This is what I'm talking about, you don't know what you want."

Chan pushed himself off of the male's lap, making his way to the door. "Just go, Changbin...I hope you know this was a bullshit apology."

Of course Changbin wasn't going to let him leave so easily. He grabbed onto the back of his hoodie, pulling him away from his door. "Chan, hold on."

He tried to bring the older into his arms but Chan would slap at his arms whenever he got too close. "No! I don't want to do this right now, I have better things to do." Chan didn't but he was sure he'd break down if they continued talking any longer.

"Like what-"

The front door opened, showing Hyunjin, eyes wide and staring at the scene in front of him. "Oh - I didn't know you were out here...with Changbin." Hyunjin side eyed Chan, not really liking that they were almost out here alone for a whole hour.

Changbin ignored his presence for now, turning to Chan with the absolute scariest look that the older had seen. "He was here this whole time?"

When Chan didn't answer, he picked up his jacket and tossed it over his shoulder. "Fuck this." Changbin spun on his heels, taking only a few steps before his arm was being grabbed.

"Wait. Don't leave." This was the perfect opportunity for Chan - let Changbin go and he'd be in the clear. Of course it wasn't that easy.

Hyunjin looked between them, feeling the obvious tension. "I'll...I'll leave." He walked back into the house, collecting his things. Right before he left, Hyunjin kissed Chan - staring right at Changbin as he did.

He sent one last smile to Chan before walking away. It hurt a little to know he was leaving Chan with someone he was still hung up over as well as the fact that Chan didn't run out to stop him from going.

"Look, Changbin..."

"Shut up."

Changbin grabbed him by the jaw, staring at his lips for a second before pulling Chan into a searing kiss.
