Everyone sighed with relief as they heard the doctor words, but now they are faced with another problem.
What about Y/N?
Now that they are fully recovered, it won't take long before another mission gets assigned to them, and they can't take a civilian with them.
However, to them, Y/N was more than just a random civilian, she was their friend, they spend almost two months together playing around, and now they would just leave her behind? It sounded absurd to them.
That's what the three were discussing while Y/N slept in the futon together with Nezuko.
"So, what should we do about her?"
"I don't know, I don't want to leave her behind, but I also don't think it's a good idea to take her to such a dangerous place."
"UNDERLING WILL BE COMING WITH US!"
"But Inosuke, do you really can guarantee that you can protect both yours and hers life? She can't even use a sword to defend herself."
Inosuke goes silent, even though he was kinda pissed off by the way Zenitsu said that, in the inside, he did know that he couldn't keep an eye on her all the time.
Tanjiro was just silent the whole time. Mostly because he understands both of their sides.
But in the end, they can't take her to a place so dangerous.

"We're heading out now, thank you for letting us stay and for accepting to take care of Y/N."
"There's no need to be grateful, I'm more than happy to take in such a sweet child."
He then turns to Y/N, looking at her with an apologetic expression.
"I'm sorry that we couldn't take you with us."
She gives him a small and forced smile, slowly shaking her head.
"It's okay."
You must be wondering why Y/N is so calm, well, that's because there is no way in hell she will stray away from the main plot.
If they don't want to take her with them, then she will wait for them to go first and then follow.
Will she die if she goes alone to the natagumo mountain? Probably. Is it a bad idea? Of course, it is!
But, if she were to stay with the old lady, then yes, she would live a normal life, but she would also feel perpetually to blame for doing nothing to prevent all the future deaths.
And in her eyes, it's the same thing as dying.
So if her choices were dying trying to do something or dying doing nothing, she would go with the first option.
"Y/N let's get married when we come back!"
"Maybe."
"You better remember to take care of yourself underling!"
Y/N was still confused about why he calls her underling, but decided to go along with it.

They turned around to go, but Tanjiro suddenly is stopped when Y/N grabs his haori.

Her eyes go wide before she quickly let go of him.

"I see." He says, silently going in the direction of the road.
Y/N looked at the hand that grabbed him.
She understood why they wouldn't take her with them. She knew that she would only cause problems.
But, it still kinda hurts that they decided to leave her behind so easily.
Tanjiro then ran to reach Zenitsu and Inosuke. However, the frown never left his face.
Mostly because, this situation reminded him of something he wished he didn't.
He looked back, Y/N was still there in the front door, watching they go.
She was smiling at them, waving goodbye.
He couldn't take it.
She reminded him too much of them.
Hanako and Shigeru.
They also wanted to go with him to the village, in the day before they died.
There wasn't one day when he didn't think about what would happen if he had taken them with him that day, would they be alive? Probably.
But the situation is different now. He's not going to sell charcoal in the village, he's going to a place with demons.
Even so, he couldn't shake off this bitter feeling. Like he would regret not taking you with them, just like he regrets not taking his siblings with him last time.
That's why he ignored Zenitsu and Inosuke confused looks when he suddenly spun around and ran back to Y/N.

He took her hand, pulling her in the direction of the road, she didn't really understand what's happening, but I guess that she won't have to follow them in secret anymore.
The reason Tanjiro suddenly changed his mind will still be a mystery to her and everyone.
Everyone walked in silence for some minutes before Zenitsu approached Tanjiro.
"Hey, are you sure you are going to take her with us?"
"It seems like so. I'm sorry, I just couldn't leave her behind." He sighs.
"Okay, I guess it should be fine if we are careful."
Tanjiro eyes go wide for a second, before he smiles.
Zenitsu really is a nice guy! he even feels bad for judging him before.
"Y/N-Chan, since you are going with us that means we can marry now right?!"
